Nah, I think there should just be 4 of them at the table and cut Lennox out of the picture. I would agree. It's painful to listen to Lennox try to put letters together and form a sentence. Personally, I like Max Kellerman. He's a very objective commentator and he has great knowledge of the sport and think he has great input. I want to see him more on these fights. As far as Merchant goes, I think he's the John Madden of boxing. Sometimes I think he's hilarious but most of the time he honestly kinda irritates me. He insults the shit out of fighters and makes them look like fools on national TV by dismissing and belittling their accomplishments. The other thing that bugs me about him is that he always has to voice that his scorecard is different from Lederman's in the almost pompous fashion. One positive I will give Merchant though is that while he is very blunt and outspoken, he does call it like it is and will also call out fighters who talk a lot of game and fail to deliver. I wouldn't have minded seeing him shit on Casamayor last night.....I think Kellerman isn't afraid to be that guy either.

I miss him too. He'll be back for the Hatton fight. I missed his quips and smart remarks though. I also believe out of all of the commentators, he doesnt get caught up in the HBO bias.

does anyone know if Merchant is still working for HBO anymore ? I like him more than Kellerman. The guy isnt afraid to ask tough questions and his commentary is more colorful. the bad side is he tend to complain about boxing a lil too much but i usually agree with his complains. If you want boxing to change for the better, then the first thing is you have to point out the bad issues and try to fix them. Yeah he still works for HBO and he has some kind of contract where he will still do fights, but him and Max will split time. I can't remember how long the contract was. Larry is a legend, but Im giving Max a chance I like him when he was on ESPN.

I know Max is going to split time with Merchant on the PPV events, and WCB. Plus I think starting next year Kellerman will be doing B.A.D cards as well. I liked Max on ESPN and plus he's a guy that's really interested in boxing. He had a pretty good gig on ESPN and the Fox networks, but he chose boxing so you know he loves it. I like Merchant better as well, but I didn't in the beginning, but have come to like him a lot and have gotten used to his slurring and metaphors all the time. It makes me laugh. Give Max time and he should get better.

Merchant is the man. Smart, funny, and not afraid to ask tough questions. Kellerman is good as well but just not as a color guy. He is much better as a studio analyst.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who prefers Kellerman after all. Isn't Merchant supposed to take over B.A.D.? That was the word for awhile, but he wanted to be matchmaker too. Not sure what came of that, but I think Larry would be a pretty damn good matchmaker.

You're being too harsh on poor Kellerman. Ye, he looks like a weasel, but let him develop his alcoholism to the level of Merchant and I'm sure he will say just as many slurred and stupid things. Perhaps HBO shoud contractually obligate him to get drunk before the matches so the difference will be less noticable? i thought kellerman was gonna work just on B.A.D. but not on main events
