Most memorable, not most competitive.
Which one is going to be remembered more in 20 years? The first time Erik Morales got KO'd and when the torch got officially passed for the division, or the first one, where the favorite won a decision?
morales wasnt the favorite in the first fight......he was coming off a loss to MAB ONLY 4 MONTHS AFTER THEIR BRUTAL 3RD FIGHT!!!and was a 3 to 1 underdog by the oddsmakers....
past is past dnt linger on it too much ferocity..but still i respected Morales he never back down nor change his style when he fought Manny..when theres a need to engage for a toe to toe action he gave it to Manny..unlike MAB (my eyes rolling..daaa..)
Except in the 12th round. :lol1:
Hands down, the stupidest move in boxing, but I guess it worked out. That round could have been scored 10-8 pretty easily IMO.
Exactly!

And it was a competitive fight because Morales gave Pacquiao every oppertunity to hit him, even turning southpaw in the last round to bring excitement.
not only that Ferocity, give Pacman some credit did u see how courageous he was???having those bad cut and blood pouring down in his face, and at d later rounds he got only one eye to see..though it end up in a UD but still Pacman made it close..come on...
That fight was only competetive for 6 rounds.
The first one was competetive for all twelve.
Most memorable, not most competitive.

the first one... first time 130 pac vs. prime morales..and still a close match...
(pacman rules!!)
If you think thats a prime Morales then you have some fights to watch.
the first one... first time 130 pac vs. prime morales..and still a close match...
(pacman rules!!)
you mean:
first time 130 pacquiao vs post prime coming off a loss morales....and still a clear cut decision for the underdog....who even gave the other fighter every chance to KO him....
(morales rules!!!)
:D
the first fight really was a great fight...Morales is fucking crazy...turning southpaw....thats fucking being brave...
Morales: Le gusto?
(did you like that?(the fight))
Merchant:I loved it!, gracias...
The twelfth round was one of my personal favorites.
one of the most hilarious moments in boxing, in that 12th round. Morales had already turned southpaw and changed back to orthodox, with like 1 minute left or so. Pacquiao kind of wasnt throwing for a second and Morales was just like '...Fuck it' and switched back to southpaw and they started tradin again like crazy, hahaha.
the 1st fight is without a doubt the most exciting out of the 3. and Morales getting KOed in the second one would have been more dramatic if Morales hadnt been beaten fairly one sidedly by an unamazing fighter in Zahir Raheem...him coming off the Barrera loss wasnt that bad for the 1st fight, cause he at least had a good showing torward the end and was an exciting fight.
Exactly!

yes..very much competitive..
LOL! sure
The fight was great because of what Morales was doing and the fact that he don't give a shit about being hit, or didn't when he still was fresh.

I went with #2, just because it was something that had never been seen before, the KO of Morales.
Easily the funniest moment in boxing for me is when Morales lost his mind and went southpaw in the 12th, and nearly lost his life doing so.
Lampley's commentary on the subject was great... "It was almost as if he was saying, 'Well Manny, you need a knockout, let me give you an opportunity for one!'"

yes..very much competitive..
yes it was definitely the first one and also w/ the most blood due to Manny's cut.

Easily the second one for me. Just the better fight overall. Lots of blood, back and forth drama. Morales fighting the whole last round southpaw, and getting beaten to a pulp in doing so. That fight was great. Belongs int he discussion with Barrera/Morales I and III.
the one were morales turned southpaw was the first one....
