I have dealt with MMA guys, Muy Thai, etc..but the problem is that their footwork generally is terrible compared to boxers so it's hard for us to take much from them
Yeah, they were. I still speak to Shannon, he's doing well and Paul Gonzalez is a city councilman out in L.A.
Cool wanna ask you some training question out of the topic as you are also a trainer.
Have you ever though of combining other martial art tech and way of training into boxing. Espically you got some fighter you could experment on.
one of the best trainers is Brendan Ingle from England Shiefld many of his fighters have some odd style into them
THE PIC...Sammy Vega (1997 National JO Champ), Andrew Maynard (1988 Gold), Paul Gonzalez (1984 Gold), Robert Shannon (1980 and 1984 US Olympic team member), myself, and Mark Breland (1984 Gold)
I only recognized Andrew Maynard & Mark Breland. I haven't seen a pic of Maynard in years. He was a very good fighter & a tremendous amateur. Mark Breland's fight with Aaron Superman Davis was a classic.
