that's all..... AND NEW!!!!!!!
and lets all talk shit on Winky as JERMAIN SHAMEFULLY LEAVES THE RING EARLY....
It was his first lost and in brutal manner. Give the kid a break man, Im surprised the did the interview
That is mighty honorable of you...
Good K coming
Thanks playa....
I didn't dislike Pavlik..I just loved Taylor..If Pavlik had been fighting anyone else I would have been on his side..He fought my boy so I had to ride with my boy..
Taylor was more aggressive, and he might have stopped Pavlik if he wouldnt have momentarily gassed in the 2nd round. Why else would he start clinching the guy he was about to KO? Unbelievable fight, can't wait to watch it again.
hbo hype job taylor is gone.. lol
You cant really call him a hype job, he almost stopped Pavlik in the second round. Could have pulled it off if not for the wild looping punches.
I agree he does seem slow most of the time, but he finds a way to take good punches and then land his. When he lands especially after a few rounds of punishment he seems to put people away. Is there things that he could be better at, yes, but he's the champ know and lets see if anybody could use those disadvantages against him.
Dont take the comment wrong. I sounded negative, but I think he did great when the skill differences were so obvious. He won on guts and I think with the right people he is going to kick ass. All the disadvantages I mentioned I reckon he can fix. I hope he gets some good help ( and keeps the driveway concreting guy too ). Awesome fight...I'm pumped.
I seriously think Pavlik needs tidying up . For a 30 fight boxer he needs to:
a) Get rid of those white boy feet. If taylor has more sting, Pavlik would've had trouble getting out of there. He seemed to trip over himself when he needed to get on the pushbike and ended up quite flatfooted.
b) Beef up that guard a bit. Taylors doubling up the jab would open Pavlik's guard and crack him with the second. His defense in general needs work. Taylor was landing at will a bit.
c) Don't believe in your own hype. As much as everybody is raving about the power, I saw a jabs and right crosses that were a bit half hearted. I dunno. He said in the interview his punches are alot harder than they look and Taylor was pretty much out cold so I could be wrong about what they feel like on the recieving end ( I wont be finding out ). Even so, there's plenty of fighters around this weight who won't respect Pavliks power and there's plenty of people who are gonna start telling him that no-one will stick with his power and that is bs. He needs to work hard and sharpen up.
Great win, but he can use this as a learing experience for his training become a great. He has the heart of a great so I think it would be excellent for him to grow after this fight, not stay the same. I also don't think he's ready for the top tier supermiddles and they will be hunting mercilessly for his name on their resume and they will not let him off if they have him beat. Speed up those feet man.

Taylor reminds me of De La Hoya in the way he fights tensely, seems to forget to breathe sometimes, and has stamina issues as a result. Although I think Taylor has an added problem with the weight.
Good job Pavlik though.
The Taylor that I saw tonight beats Kessler...
Pavlik is the hardest puncher p4p. He just brutally knocked out three tough guys who had never been down in a row.
bit of a stretch. he's a good puncher...he just throws so much that his opponents can't get away from it.
kessler murks taylor in similar fashion...taylor looked good, but some of that was pavlik being an idiot.

I seriously thought it was going to be stopped in the second round cause Pavlik took tremendous shots.
But I think Pavlik would lose to both Calzaghe and Kessler because they both are such good boxers who keep their composure. Unlike Taylor who constantly gets off his game plan.
And did anyone else get the feeling that Taylor was very nervous in the early rounds? He was all jumpy and twitchy and throwing crazy shots he just had a nervous fear look.
That's how i feel, i can't brlieve it.
Im so jelous. Knowing the result beforehand sucked, but it was great anyway.
If I were watching it live I would have been the same, although I expected it would come eventually.
Calzaghe and Kessler both have been in with guys who hit as hard as Pavlik. And stamina is always a factor in Taylor fights. He always fights tensely and loses energy more quickly than either Joe or Kessler.
Furthermore, Joe and Kessler throw more punches than Taylor and still finish the fight looking fresher.
Ditto.
It's a little premature to make these kind of statements. Neither Joe or Kessler have the stamina issues Taylor has, first off. Even the fight with Taylor, Kelly could have lost tonight. Plus, Joe and Kessler are big blokes and have great power and speed and a lot of fights.
Honestly, I'd like to see Pavlik beat Taylor again (if he can) then take on Wright, and THEN challenge Joe or Kessler.
For now, let's just settle for what is actually about to happen: Pavlik-Taylor II.
I dont think stamina came into play tonight. I think Pavlik punching power came into play. I just dont see anyone going 12 rounds with this guy. He just hits too damn hard.

Ditto.
I dont see Joe or Kessler beating pavlik at all.

Yeah, my heart was racing too in the 2nd. I was hoping for Taylor to KO Pavlik but I just didnt think it would happen. And it didnt. But there for a minute I was about ready to jump out of the chair and start yelling.
