I only watched the second series and didn't like it much at all. I hated how they only showed the abbreviated dramatized fight sequences rather than actual matches then when you got to the end and they fought for real the fights were total mismatches.
They have alot of fighters I'm familiar with in this series at 168 pounds but most importantly they're going to show the entire fights. This to me makes it real. Without the real fights to me at least it was just another crappy 'reality TV' show.
I think it''s going to be harder for the winner of this season to gain fans just because if someone like Sam Soliman wins, it still the exact same Sam Soliman we knew a year ago.
I dont know. If you run this gauntet and come out on top you've upped your status to me at least.
Much better than the previous seasons.
True what Eno says, maybe we can't hype the winner, as we might already know his level. But we got a good benchmark, should talent beat routine.. "The ring" #4 SMW has Bika as his biggest win..
It should matter ;)

I aggree but i think sooner or later soliman will lose to one of these contenders
Max Alexander, a 26-year-old from Camden, NJ who has a 14-1 pro record with 2 KOs
David Banks, a 24-year-old from Portland, OR who has a 14-2-1 pro record with 2 KOs
Sakio Bika, a 28-year-old from Sydney, Australia via Cameroon who has a 22-3-2 pro record with 14 KOs
Henry Buchanan, a 28-year-old from Capital Heights, MD who has a 14-1 pro record with 11 KOs
La Farrell Bunting, a 27-year-old from Las Vegas, NV who has a 16-3-1 pro record with 16 KOs
Jaidon Codrington, a 23-year-old from New York, NY who has a 16-1 pro record with 12 KOs
Miguel Hernandez, a 32-year-old from Chicago, IL who has a 20-5 pro record with 10 KOs
Wayne Johnson, a 29-year-old from Lyndhurst NJ who has a 16-1 pro record with 9 KOs
Donny McCrary, a 24-year-old from St. Joseph, MO who has a 23-5-2 pro record with 13 KOs
Les Ralston, a 25-year-old from Buffalo, NY who has a 16-2 pro record with 9 KOs
Danny Santiago, a 34-year-old from Ocala, FL who has a 29-3-1 pro record with 19 KOs
Paul Smith, a 24-year-old from Liverpool, England who has a 20-0 record with 12 KOs
Sam Soliman, a 33-year-old from Melbourne, Australia who has a 33-9 pro record with 13 KOs
Brian Vera, a 26-year-old from Austin, TX who has a 14-0 pro record with 9 KOs
Rhoshii Wells, a 30-year-old from Las Vegas, NV who has a 18-2-2 pro record with 10 KOs
Rubin Williams, a 31-year-old from Detroit, MI who has a 29-2-1 pro record with 16 KOs
this is a great list of fighters, i would think familer fighters like bika, williams and soleman are considered to out last the others, but boxing does need a new face on the scene, but with that said i belive rubin williams wins the whole tournament.

it's going to make a pretty good difference for those that are hardcore fans for sure...
I dont think you need to be 'hardcore' fan to prefer a boxing show over a 'reality TV' show. Just a regular boxing fan.
Im excited for this season as well because of the names. Last season had guys that were not going to do much as far as compete for World titles. Hopefully this season they show more of the fights than the highlights because there could be some good matchups.
i remember watching andre Eason v walter wright and wondering how on earth eason got on the show...then I saw he only dropped an MD v D-Hop and lasted 7 against Urango.
When i saw the line up i was very excited also, i dont really like the contender to be honest, last time i watched it, it was a bunch a bums fighting for 5 rounds,
Plus there were obviously some dodgy decisons, anyone wonder how loads of those fights were 2-2 going into the 5th round, or was that me?

I loved the first series as it got me into boxing properly.
I liked the training contests in the first series they were real good.
the second series was shit, they didnt show real alot of training and the fighters were extremly one sided. Im really lookin forward to the new series with good fighters on it. :boxing:
