David Tua 1st round KO {VIDEO} from last night

Tua must still have reservations about getting in the ring with a Top 15 guy. He's fought nothing but "comeback fights" since Rahman II... I understand a couple, but why continue at this pace? I guess he's following the Rahman-McCline-Briggs route of just continuing to fight people - anyone that's not dangerous - until his winning streak gets one of the Big 4 to rank him... Sadly for hw fans, I think you maybe right on this Neils. Tua's been averaging 2 fights per year( past 3 years) against journeymen fighters who pose little risk to him. Also, in the past year Tua's turned down fights against contender Lamon Brewster and up-and-coming prospect Shane Cameron. Anyways, I hope none of the sanctioning bodies rank him in the top ten and he has to 'earn' his title shot the hard way, by beating some credible opponents...

This was a good win for Tua albeit against an lower level opponent that he should look good against. Never-the-less, Tua hasn't KO'd anyone with his left hook in awhile so this KO was kinda nice...

Tua? Tua is like a plastic pop bottle on the beach...WASHED UP!! Peters will make him look SOOO bad!! Better to match up againts briggs. I'll tune in around round 5, should be about then that they land the first punch! They will have to fill the tent with oxygen they will both be blowing so hard!!

Yeah he's one of my all time favorite heavyweights and always has been. But the thing is, that's not the Tua that will knock everyone out. He's seems to be increasingly flat footed with age. He would have just rushed Montana and took him out in ten seconds if he was in good condition. Montana is nowhere near his level when he's in shape and dedicated. he had a go against lewis...that was a great fight. but yeah, why is he so fuckin lazy....probably concentrated on writing rap songs and guesting on albums with the fugees....blunted on reality he had one brief moment when he dazed lewis in the first round. the rest of the fight was him picking himself off the canvas off and on. he showed heart in that fight but he got his ass kicked in

Tua is a great power puncher but in time a skilled boxer will just expose him as simply a slugger. Just like Lewis and Byrd did to him. He can't always rely on his power to win fights... Man look at Tyson!

I was just rethinking my comment about Tua..Actually when he fought Lewis he was gassed after 1 round too!! He has sucked for a long time!! I'd have to rewatch Briggs/Lewis....right now the taste in my mouth from the last 2 briggs fights is so bad I'd need Janitor in a drum mouth wash to clean it out! I'd like to kick him in the nuts! LOL he sucked for a long time... no dedication is more accurate or bad DNA, i think Fighter in the mold of mike tyson will alway try to fight bum and give uneducated fans what they want

Like to see or hate to have to watch??? Its like surgury on TV you know it going to be gross but you just have to look!! I REALLY hate Briggs now. He sucks d@gsh1t through a straw! All that talent and size and a huge fan base and look what he has done when given a chance at the greatest prize in professional sports! Its disrespectfull to everyone and the history of the sport and I take it personally!!

Tua sucks I like the part when they said that Tua was already puffing and breathing hard and then said "ya but he always fought like that" Really??? he was tired at 2:00 of teh first round against Ibeabuchi?? he threw 1200+ punches and NEVER looked tired!! Tua might still have 90% of his power but he has 5% of his conditioning. Only in this era of ultra weak heavyweights does he have a shot! Man! Sad to say he looks good compared to Briggs/Liakovich!!
