In your opinion which Hall of Fame caliber fighter or fighters in the last 30 years or more suffered the most embarassing knockout loss?
It can be current hall of famers or fighters that you know will eventually be in the hall of game.
Heres a couple off the top of my head
1. Ray Leonard against Camacho in 1997
2. Roy Jones getting knocked out COLD by Glen Johnson in 2004
3 Mike Tyson against Kevin McBride. Mike just went down without even getting hit.
Equally embarrassing. Rjj's back to back KO losses.
I can't just credit Johnson's because Roy doesn't get KTFOC like he did if he wasn't afraid of being KO'd after Tarver in the first place.. so you have to go back to the Jones/Tarver II KO.
If you count a "technical knockout".. I'd correct myself. But I was assuming getting laid out as the criteria. Therefore, I doubt my pick would change.Fair enough. We're each entitled to our opinion.
As mentioned before above, I think "No Mas" against Leonard was more embarassing, as Duran was at the peak of his career. By the time he was destroyed by Hearns, he was way past his prime.

Tyson getting dropped by Douglas (not sure if Tyson is considered Hall of Fame or not), was for me, the most shocking and embarrassing (Tyson trying to find his mouthpiece) KO I've seen.
I don't see what's so embarrassing about getting hit with the perfect liver shot from Hopkins (who will be another Hall of Famer).i agree,
what was surprising about seeing a light heavyweight stopping a welterweight ?
btw, im considering going back to maroon font color, with comic sans ms font :D
i like your posts they are pretty cool, but would you consider turning off the

know what I mean?
;):offtopic:Warning: No, I don't know what you mean. If you'd like to give me a reason other than it annoys you, I will consider a compromise. In the interim, I'll have you know that I have a sight impediment that makes it difficult for me to read regular text. So, since I use bold print to preview my post, I see no reason to change the mode before submitting.

Although, it's not really a shame to be knocked out by a hitter like TOmmy Hearns, when Roberto Duran was KILLED by a shot n the second round.. it's up there for me. He had a rep. of a great chin and it was early. Just, crazy to see, to this day.As mentioned before above, I think "No Mas" against Leonard was more embarassing, as Duran was at the peak of his career. Although it wasn't a "KO" in the conventional sense, when the poster boy for Latin machismo - Roberto Duran - turned his back on Sugar Ray Leonard in the infamous "No Mas" debacle. Given how convincingly he defeated Leonard in the first fight, I was looking forward to having him knock Leonard on his ass this time! I was emotionally devastated by that embarassing turn of events.
The nature of that TKO loss is the "black eye" on his record that keeps him from an even loftier regard as an all-time great. Although he made dramatic comebacks (Moore, Barkley, Palomino, Cuevas, etc.) and captured belts in four divisions, it was that loss that benchmarked the descent from the peak of his career.
Pardon this political analogy in summation: Historically, "No Mas" is to the quality of Duran's career, what "Monica Lewinsky" is to the quality Clinton's presidency.
Winky Wright getting knocked out for the first time in his career by a 42 year old Bernard Hopkins. Oh wait... I'm getting ahead of myself.
HAHA NICE!!
but seriously i would say oliver mccall knocking out lennox lewis in the 2nd round was pretty crazy.
b-hop KOing DLH with a perfect liver shot was good too.
jones vs. johnson
I didnt see Wlad-Purrity, pehaps someone can fill me in on what happened there. No-one talks about it much.
Wlad-Sanders
Tyson-Williams
Lewis-Rahman
I never gave any of these guys a hope and they all came out with a shocking KO win. I think Wlad-Sanders was possibly the worst.

Floyd Mayweather Jr getting knocked out for the first time in his career by the English Man City fan Ricky Hatton. Oh wait... I'm getting ahead of myself.

I would say Roy getting knocked out by Tarver. That was extremely shocking, and everybody expected Roy to whoop his ass. The Johnson knock out wasn't quite as shocking to me because I could tell Roy wasn't in the same kind of shape he was usually in, and it was obvious Glen wanted the win more than anything. Roy was getting outworked the whole fight also.
