Let this be the last weekend we mention Margarito, he has had his 15 mins of time now he must be put to bed. Them slow hooks and robotic movement has seen it's last day!! RIP Margo and good night Margo huggers...no more Margarito atleast for 2007!!
Next Up Ricky "Hitman" Hatton
Margarito can comeback, but it is up to him. None of this folks are ducking me talk should ever come out of his mouth again. He wants respect, go fight and and earn it. There are tons of guys that he can fight. 147 is not at a losss for talent.
He can re-match Cintron and get a belt
Take on Clottey again
Demetrius Hopkins has moved up to 147
Zab Judah is looking for work
Carlos Quintana is a possibility
Luis Collazo would be a good fight
He needs to go somewhere and work on his craft and improve.
This would be true if there werent literally hundreds of threads singing how great he is and how everyone was so scared of him. We heard so much about it, it made it impossible not to be on the extreme like or dislike about him if he didint meet expectation, and once again, he didint. At this point Margarito is basically just another beltholder who got his trinket removed from him, period, all these years at welterweight and once again he cant capitolize on a golden oppurtunity to really put himself on the map with an IMPRESSIVE win.
Who cares about the treads that doesnt mean that Margarito aint on the map anymore he had a good showing and I feal that this was one of them fights that both fighters come out winning. You can hate all you want but beleave that the Tijuana tornado will be back!
i thought both guys clearly showed that they were world class fighters capable of competing with anyone in the division... so no, i dont see it as an end to margo
Why should he not get mentioned he put up a good fight, and the fight was exciting and dramatic. If anything he should be mentioned more.

Margarito will come back from this, people slagging him off are just downplaying how good Williams was,
And Williams pretty much stopped the holding after about round 6, and was nothing compared to whst Hatton does
Hatton and Williams like to tie people up so they can put their body weight on them. They are smart, no wonder why they are undefeated. If Williams didn't tie Margarito up, would williams have felt the power of margarito and went down to the canvas crying from the power of the mexicans
williams got hit hard and took it like a G. So no.
according to hatton fanatics the other guy is always hugging the same amount as hatton its just a coincidence in every fight that it happens. you don't get a reputation for hugging for no reason and stop calling it good infighting its not. you should stand up for boxing not for some local hero.
According to Williams fanatics Margarito was hugging just as much as Williams, it's just a coincidence that it happened every time Margarito got into range.

Do you not see how you are skewing facts?
So according to you, If Hatton is warned for holding, then subsequently his opponent is warned for holding, Hatton was never warned for holding.
To meet your standards of being warned for holding, Hatton has to be the only fighter to be warned during the course of the entire fight.
Not at all, to meet the criteria Hatton has to be taken aside by the ref and warned for holding. Not, as happened in the Castillo fight, have the referee call a time out and pull both fighter together to tell them to keep it clean.
Wow Denial He Was Warned About 50 Times In The Castillo Fight For Holding And Even If He's Not Warned He's Still Doing It Obviously We Have Eyes You Cant Fool Us. Maybe If We Put On Our British Goggles It Will Turn Into Awesome Brawling Infighting. Just Stop Please British Fool
So when Williams was spending one minute out of every round in a heartwarming embrace what do you call it? OK because he's American?
Yes I do.
You, however are confusing facts with opinions.
It is easily proven that Hatton holds much more than Williams does.
It is also easily proven that Hatton has been warned for excessive holding.
Why you would say stuff that can be proven to be false, I have no idea. I am thinking it is because your love of for a fighter blinds you to the reality of what goes on.
Go nuts. In the Castillo fight both fighters were warned for holding in the first round. Hatton as an individual has never been warned for clinching, only for rough-housing.
you cant compare williams holding with hattons. for hatton its a part of his whole gameplan! and williams did not hold nearly as much.
I disagree. Hatton has never once been warned for holding, Williams was warned throughout the fight which suggests to me that a lot of Hatton's holding isn't actually tying up the other guy, it's just fighting in close.
I don't mind watching both Margarito and Williams. Williams lack a bit of poer not to mention a terrible defense. Margarito is not meant to be great because he cannot perform well vs all types of fighters.
First of all I don't criticize Hatton for holding because I think you should always put winning the fight first. Its up to your opponent to figure out a way to beat you and if he can't then he doesn't deserve to win. I criticize him for saying he's an exciting fighter.
And yes, there has been times when Hatton has walked towards his opponent and put his arms out to grab him. That is hugging.
Do you think that Williams is an exciting fighter?
