he is persuing a fight with a JW Ricky Hatton who has turned down offers from Floyd TWICE...
there u have it folks.. Floyd is scared to face a legit threat at welter...his split D victory over and inactive Dela Hoya, showed him that he cant hang with Mosley who has TWO wins over a prime Dela..
his reasoning for not fighting Mosely is simply he already offered and Mosley said no..YET Hatton has said NO TWICE, HUH??.. and isnt even a welter
not only that, Mosley convincingly beat a guy that Hatton struggled with..
go figure
cherry picking at it's finest
shane still has good hand speed, but hasnt had that many knockouts lately, I think the hatton fight is long over do, mosley should fight cotto and the winner should get the hatton floyd winner.
I still fail to see what the problem is. For those of us that think Mosley is past his prime, there is no reason to see Mayweather fight an ex-elite fighter who beat DLH. For those that think Mosley is the toughest fight of Mayweather's career and still at his peak then why can't the fight still be made even if Mayweather fights Hatton. Lets be real Mayweather is not staying retired and will at least fight once and most likely twice a year as long as he is active. If he beats Hatton who else can he fight that will garner enough popularity to make it "worth his while." It is a short list and Mosley certainly is a name on that list. And for what its worth I think Mosley would have given Mayweather a good fight in his prime, which is about 5 years removed from today.
Yeah, in a classless way you make that obvious. Good thing for me I don't care.
(^_^)
in a more classy way:
i think that your statements about Mayweather being wobbled several times, and Oscar almost winning the fight are wrong.
i invite you to point out several (round, minute, second) indicators of instances where you saw Mayweather hurt.
And then I would like to understand in what sense you think Oscar almost won the fight.
but hatton's strengths (speed, pressure, the best at getting on his opponent) make me believe that floyd will have to fight.
essentially making it like its floyds first night at fight club
Oscar caught and shook Floyd several times, and almost won. If Shane is just more nasty than Oscar, which he very well could be, then he has a good chance to win. Anyone can see that. Floyd did not do enough vs Oscar to make people think that he would just beat Shane easily. I would favor Floyd to win a close fight, sure. But you get my drift.
several times? almost won? LOL
anyway I have been saying this for ages" hatton-mayweather is going to be a good fight to watch. I dont even care if it is going to be the hardest one for mayweather, but hatton's strengths (speed, pressure, the best at getting on his opponent) make me believe that floyd will have to fight.
Have you seen how fast shanes hands are?? with the combination of power and pressure makes it a very hard fight for floyd.. not saying he will walk right through him.. It doesnt mean im right.. Its just how I see it..
IMO his hands are nowhere near as fast as they once were. He only looked fast against Collazo when he was throwing flurries and they didn't have much power behind them. I'm not saying he's slow, but I don't think its an advantage like some people are making it out to be. I just don't see anything that Shane has that would be anything Floyd couldn't handle. IMO Hatton is a slightly harder fight because of his style and Cotto is by far the toughest fight for any welterweight. But like you said, thats just how I see it.

Shane does have a chance at beating Floyd. I'll be honest. Oscar really only caught Floyd towards the end of a round with a shot while Floyd was backing up. I don't think Oscar ever wobbled Floyd. Floyd didn't even beat Oscar with his A game. Floyd barely ever threw a combination and still beat Oscar.
Why? Floyd is faster, has better defense, is smarter, has better footwork, and has been in the ring with much better fighters the past couple years. The only thing Shane has is a power advantage, which almost everyone above 140 has on Floyd. I'm curious to know why you think Floyd wouldn't handle him like he's handled everyone else.

he's not fightin vargas over here buddy. thats y he looked very fast. could shane tag floyd? yea he could touch him jus like dlh did, and thaz about it my friend...

Just because you are faster than someone else, does not mean they wont hit you. Shane is plenty fast himself. He could definitely tag and KO Floyd if he fights aggressive the whole fight...which is something Oscar did not do for some reason. Hesitancy.
That is true for any fight. I'm wondering why people think that Mosley will beat Floyd. What reason do you have to believe that Shane has a good chance at winning the fight? Hatton fans think Ricky will win because he works the body well and they think he can pressure Floyd enough to keep him from jabbing and pot shotting his way to a UD. What strengths does Mosley have that can make for a tough night for Floyd? I just don't see where he has any strengths over Floyd (besides a slight power advantage).
If he beat Shane everyone would say Shane was washed up. I think a Hatton fight would generate more $ than a fight with Mosley.
dude when he beats hatton they will say hatton is washed up from all those fights makin that weight. u know how it goes on here man

Its just my honest opinion that I think Mosley beats Mayweather, but I highly doubt any of us will ever get to find out..
i respect ur opinion, cuz u said it was ur OPINION, and thats cool. my opinion is floyd would beat mosley.
