Was Mayweather Vs. Gatti The Greatest A** Whipping Of All Time

mayweather vs gatti, yeah i guess if you like complete mismatches and watching the lesser fighter get beat and never having a chance, yeah it's an al time beating. i think of all time beating being two guys equal, at least on paper and resume, with one rising above and dominating his supposedly equal....... or the underdog coming through, but not the favorite beating the ever living piss out of the underdog, thats just a mismatch....... hopkins trinidad was a beating, calzaghe lacy was a beating, mosley margarito was a beating, pacquiao hatton was a complete devastation....... margarito cintron was a beating, both times. ( hand wrap controversy aside ) i would say mayweathers win over phillip ndou was more of a beating because ndou was undefeated and had hellacious ko record............. and mayweather tore that guy up and with class. ndou wasn't undefeated he had been knocked out before and had ko'd nothing but bums. definition of a padded resume.

Alfonso Gomez was more impressive against Gatti (RIP Champ) and he was more impressive against castillo who should have a win over mayweather. how come gomez isn't p4p number 1? politics!

r u for real. gatti was done. too...too...many battles plus age got the best of him. ruelas and mickey were brutal to name a few. also, he had to move up weight cause he couldn't sustain the weight in where he was. come on...i saw that and i felt bad for gatti goin into this fight.

What did you expect? Gatti was old and war ridden. Oscar beat his ass down years before this. If you looks back at the DeLaHoya fight Oscar destroyed Gatti!!!!!!!!!

Clearly the most one-sided (big time) fight ever. The biggest ass whooping of all time was Bernard Hopkins vs. Steve Frank. With punchstats being 5-0 in that one for Hopkins... a knockout in about 15 seconds. :lol1: and :thinking:

Buddy Mgirt gets a lot of credit for stopping fights but he should try to get credit for his fighters winning fights. But they dont win. I would say Mayweather vs Gatti....then Joe vs Jeff LAcy.... Emile Griffith vs Benny the Kid Paret. Mayweather beat on Gatti pretty badly, but guys have died or been crippled in the ring. I actually think Gatti has taken worse beatings than the one Mayweather gave him. The fight with Mayweather was just more one-sided than the rest. In terms of punishment, it's not Gatti's worst beating. In terms of one-sidedness, it was embarrassing in epic proportions.

Gatti-Mayweather was bad. de la Hoya-Chavez 1 was even worse. Trinidad-Wright was even worse. and Calzaghe-Lacy is the big momma of ass whippings.

I was sure it said "Was Mayweather vs Gatti the greatest Ass Whipping of all time", not "Was Mayweather vs Gatti the most impressive ass whipping of all time". Gatti vs Gamache was an ass whipping of a greater magnitude than Floyd vs Gatti.

Doesn't matter, it was still more of a beating that Gamache took compared to Gatti. We're talking about top three one-sided beatdowns in the history of boxing. Gatti-Mayweather isn't there.

Its one of the worst ive ever seen, the combinations mayweather was hitting him with were unreal, he hit gatti with a 3/4punch body head combination with the same hand lol, i havent seen combination work like that in a long time, masterful boxing performance.

Gatti's beatdown of Gamache was far more devastating than Floyd's beatdown of Gatti. And I also think that Baldomir hurt Gatti more than Floyd did. Gatti came back from the Floyd fight and looked very good against Daamgard, he came back from Baldomir and looked terrible against Alfonso Gomez.
