floyd beating hatton was not some gret win just cause you floyd-picked someones comments about how they thought hatton would have a chance. floyd gets credit for beating hatton but hatton barely beat collazo at 147 and never did anything else there. credit is only given where its due. how much credit do you want for that? you thought broner would be a great fighter but he wasnt. how much credit should someone get for beating broner just caus you thought he was going to be fighter of the decade? Plus with hindsight we now know how much ref help Floyd got, and at time we werent to know Pac would down Hatton in 2 rounds. How does he bump up such old threads, I can't do that somehow. I wanted to bump up old thread poll about who's greater poll, and Pac won easily but can't seen to back that far and the poll weren't that long ago?

PBF youve proved you are a great talker. Now is the time to prove you can do to Hatton what you say you can do. Why cant Hatton compete? He has competed well with anyone he has ever fought. He competed with Kostya and Castillo and wasnt out of his depth. You might argue that PBF is better than those 2. Well...maybe he is. He will have to prove that, because at this minute we dont know. I concur that. All we want from PBF and Hatton is for an exciting fight with differing styles. Is that too much too ask for? I think Floyd wins this one by U.D... A lot of hugging involved in the fight and both fighters are exhausted.. one from getting hit to the body, the other from being hugged.

But thats what im saying. Kostya beat Zab Judah in his fight before Hatton. You are only as good as your last fight. Kostya was past it you say, but his demolition of ZAb says otherwsie, as he was still p4p top 3. Um... You are not doing very well here. Kostya beat Zab in 2001, 3 and 1/2 years before he stepped in with Hatton. Plus, that fight was before he had problems with his shoulder (I believe it was his shoulder, not positive).

Gatti is nothing but a C level fighter. His fame came from a great fight with another C level fighter. Hatton is a world class champion. It's not about the Jab.. it's about being able to press Mayweather for full 12 rounds. You cannot count on getting him out of there early - that's just not gonna happen like it did with Castillo. Mayweather is not a Power puncher and Hatton will take a straight to get close, something DLH failed at. Every time He was coming in close and Mayweather was able to land, DLH stepped back Are u crazy...how can you pressure a fighter without throwing a jab. coming forward with no punches is not going to get it and he ain't gonna just be taking one but 5 or 6 just to get close. Is that the game plan you would give to beat Floyd? That is not pressure, that is a stationery target.

Hes beaten a lot of guys in their primes, but guys in their primes that were not as good as Hatton in his prime. Guys that wouldnt have beaten the p4p rated Kostya. So lets get the show rolling! Again, against Hatton type fighters that werent quite up to the Hatton standard. Like against Gatti i suppose. Or Castillo! Am i right? and Chavez and Hernandez. And Castillo was much better at pressuring in his prime compared to Hatton now. hatton can't cut a ring off and doesn't have a jab to save his life. I don't know... First half of the fight, DLH was doing an OK job with his aggression.. He than tired out and abandoned the jab and everything else... Hatton has an AMAZING work rate.. Tszyu could not keep up with him (yes an older Tszyu, but still, this is the man who ruled the division for a decade.. and had a crazy training regiment) Hatton CAN and will apply pressure for full 12 rounds.. he throws and restless non-stop.. he can and will get inside Mayweather.. where Mayweather will be outwrestled.. and hit plenty form different angles.. IMO... while DLH is over the hill, Hatton has a good chance... (Mosley beats him) I cant see floyd letting hatton come forward without being hit two or three times!!! Hatton might have more stamina then Dlh but he is hardly as big and imposing!!! floyd was all smiles when dlh was putting pressure on him so he will be laughing his arse off when hatton does it!!! Floyd will teach hatton to keep his mouth shut!!!

While the rest of your post is all a matter of opinion, this section is not. This is what angers me most, these guys didn't want to fight Floyd. And now Hatton wants to open his mouth like it's Floyd who didn't want to make the fight??? With the exception of Margarito and Wright, Floyd has been absolutely willing to face anyone from 154 down! No questions about, you can't point to me any saying from Floyd's camp about not wanting to fight someone. Wright is just too damn big. And with Margarito, I will say Floyd def did not want a piece of him. If you've read my other posts before I've said numerous times that Floyd needed to step up to the plate and fight Tony. I do however, give credit where credit is due and FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR outranks RICKY HATTON in the credit department. lets all realize real quick how easy it seems to be to throw a label or tag onto most fighters, We say he ducked this guy or he ducked that guy, but until a pattern is established this is speculation as to why two guys like Mosley and MAyweather did not get together. Taking Mosley's quote out of context from a post fight interview and building a case around that being the reason their particular fight didnt happen is really ridiculous. A more reasonable explanation would probably be that Mosley knew that the MAyweather De La Hoya fight was in the works and it was probably more of a business decision. Of course Im speculating also here I just think mine makes more sense. I do agree with this guys posts on Ricky's chances in this fight but I also think Hatton is underated, with a serious throwback style that as Castillo put it " lacks a rhythm of any kind". This and his physical strength, quickness of hand and foot and seemingly inexhaustible energy could, could give Mayweather a lot of problems. If Floyd takes this fight at 147 or for that matter drops down to 140(cause he can) than I will give him some props for finally, finally fighting a guy he should be in there with. This is the only ecouraging news I have heard from him in a long time.

You cant just say Corrales would beat Kostya for the sake of it. Kostya has earned his stars and stripes and that got him the acclaim as a top 3 p4p guy. Against Corrales he would be favourite. The common denominater between PBF and Hatton is Zab, Kostya and castillo. Kostay dealt with Zab the way greats are supposed to. Hatton dealt with Castillo the way PBF should have done. On paper winning 5 belts is more impressive than 2. But if you look at the bigger picture, on paper Hatton is more impressive in certain areas. Lets get the show rolling. The bigger picture comes down to the fact that your really just trippin right now and your bias to Hatton is clouding logic. Im not saying your an idiot or anything like that. But what your saying just isnt conceivable, you say Hatton on paper is more imrpessive in certain areas, but on paper mayweather being undisputed 3 times, but also holding a title in 5 divisions as well kills anything hatton may be able to do for the rest of his career. And if PBF beats hatton the comparison will never be made again.
