Well, i just saw a fight of him on the 04 olympics and i think he has a lot of talent, i think he is a great propsect. i checked his record and it seems he is doing great, but havent had the chance to see his pro fights, so i wanted opinions about him, is he a great prospect??? what do poeple here thinks :P

talent is there, and at the moment thats what he is a talent.
But a good point was made about the PR he gets many would be shocked to hear is isnt even one of the top10 fighters in Britian, but those who dont follow the sport and only know what they see on the tv would think he is the next best thing since ALI!!!!
he has the talent i wont deny that, seems a good lad and if he keeps himself right he has the potential to become a champ though he does face stiff competition in lightweight but time is on his side.
great prospect and his biggest challenge will be his next fight on 14th july against a commonwealth champ. His hand speed is amazing and he has the power to knock out.
Really? I've only seen him a few times but I thought he was pretty impressive. Surely room to improve but the amateur and pro game is different and some guys need time to adjust. Sure some guys never make it but this guy seems to have decent skills and good power?

Khan is another Audley Harrison all hype, he's a good amateur still fights like one has no punch as a pro he's going no where and sadly he believes in his own hype
i liked all the different opinions.
what we all agree is that he has talent and that he is a prospect, but needs to keep working hard.
well, its just a matter of time to see how good he will be.
The people he's beat up to now are shit. Hes way too famous and gets paid far too much to get paid what he does fighting the shit that he does.
I totally agree , hes getting big money at a stage in his career where he should be working up the ranks not earning too much and staying hungry. Remember what happened to audley when he was earning that million pound contract from the bbc. I still dont like Khan, i find his attitude disgusting along with his opponent selection. He relys too much on his speed with a loose defence. I think once he really moves up in class he with be found out and KTFO
he is a good fighter but he is just potential at the minute, he can only beat who is put in front of him so the quality of opposition isnt his fault, he has only had 12 fights and in his 13th next month he will fight for the commonwealth title, which will give us a better idea of how far he will go, but you know what do people want frank warren to do stick him in with Diaz or Casamayor, he has to be given time to develop and after his next fight providing he wins we should see the quality of opponents get better
he alrady beat some good opents but thats it he make them look rubish

He is insanely fast, his next fight will be a very good test for him, but Limond is no puncher again....Warren must know something to be putting him in with people with no power.
Yeah...he knows that you dont put a young and fairly inexperienced fighter in against big punchers. Very few successful boxers have done so throughout the years early in their career. Khan is no different. He needs to work on his ring generalship and experience, how to land punches under pressure etc and then you develop his chin later. No point in taking big risks too early.
I'm not too optimistic for Khan. He could outbox most but has he got the toughness for the pro game. I don't think his chin and composure will hold up to a decent punch. Put him in against a light punching technician and he'd probably do alright today tho.
It would be good to see Khan come and fight in America, maybe appearing on the undercard of Hatton's next fight in Las Vegas. The current prejudice against Muslims in the US might be an obstacle to that, though.
......as a muslim im telling you right now, him being muslim wouldnt hinder his popularity at all, thats stupid, we have a shitload of muslim atheletes in basektball and football and it doesnt hurt their popularity at all.
When he moved up to light welter his punchs were extremly ineffective showing he proberly wont carry his power up if he ever moves up. Also in that same fight he was knocked down, albeit his foot sliped but he still got caught by a shot and it troubled him.
He seem to have some good talent and could be a huge star in the UK. Warren has put him in there against bums and he has disposed of them. Once he gets in there with some decent quality fighter then we'll see how just good he is.
Khans good but he needs to keep his hands up when throwing shots, when someone good tags him then we'll see how good he really is. I 'd like to see him fight Kevin Mitchell.
it seems that his defense is like his problem, but he is still young so thats something he should be able to fix if he is properly taught.
oh...just saw on boxrec that his next fight is the day after my birthday :P....ill be expecting this and also illl try to download one of his fights.
thanks for the opinions :boxing:
