DLH pricing Mosley out of Cotto fight?

Cotto holds the WBA and will probably fight for the WBO in his next fight, so Cotto will be the unified champ if they were to try to fight after the Margo/Williams winner. I swear, DLH is delusional sometimes. I'd love to see a Mosley - Cotto fight but not if Mosley is calling for anything above 55%. While Cotto would be the unified champ, I think Mosley's name still has value and he should get an extra 5%, but that's it! 55-45 for Mosley and I think the fight can be done. BUT, knowing DLH, he's going to want 65-35 Mosley, and that would be a lack of respect for Cotto (although he'd be doing it to piss Arum off). Look guys, I hate Oscar just as much as you but take off your Cotto blinders for a second. Mosley is the higher rated fighter and has done way more then Cotto. Cotto hasnt done anything at 147 except for beat a Zab who hasnt won in 2 years, Urkal, and a Quintana who only got hype for beating a overrated Julio. Meanwhile Shane has 5 great wins in a row including his last 3 of beating Vargas, Knocking Vargas out, and then beating a Callazo who a ton of people had beating Hatton. Mosley is the highest rated fighter in the division and he has the overall bigger name. You cant deny that the Zab fight was a local fight and thats why it was so big. They still may not have done great PPV numbers. Mosley has fought Winky twice, Oscar twice, Vargas twice, a prime Forrest twice, and Callazo. Those are huge names and he deserves more money. Maybe not alot but more. They'll probally try to fight next year at the PR parade but Shane might be done by thenI have to agree here that Mosley is the more accomplished fighter and more of a draw than Cotto. 60/40 would be fair because I think this is another bigger than life opportunity for Cotto to assume another step up on the boxing ladder of fame.

The fact is if you walk down a normal street with just black & white people then it wont even be close between the amount of people who know Shane vs the amount of people who know Cotto. The closest guy was Zab but we all know he is a 4 round fighter who loses focus, hasnt won in 2 years, and was basically just suspended for a year. If mosely wants the fight to happen, and cotto wants the fight to happen, then the fight WILL HAPPEN, regardless of how much DLH and Arum don't like each other. Should Cotto beat the winner of margarito vs williams, I'd say cotto vs mosely is in the bag.

If theres one fight that makes sense in boxing its Mayweather/Mosley. The winner of Cotto/Margarito should fight the winner of that fight. Its that simple. I completely agree. I hope that it the way things turn out.

Also, remember that the Mosley-Vargas PPVs were what they were because of the Mexican audience. Black people aren't interested in Mosley while Mexicans are interested in Vargas/Margarito. Same with PR fans and Cotto. That's why Cotto brings in more $$$ on PPVs than Mosley.

I would love to see Cotto vs Mosley but the GBP-TopRank relationship makes it less likely than it would be otherwise. As far as who brings more money. Well just think of potential common opponents. What fight would generate more money Cotto-Margarito or Mosley-Margarito? Cotto has a built in fan base (PR). On top of that his drama filled fights are bringing in new fans every fight. After this weeks free replay of Cotto-Judah I expect Cotto would have increased his fan base considerably.

If I was Arum I would say, We will match whatever shane made fighting Collazo. Any revenew above that is Cotto's. If Shane fought Collazo with no problem, then he should get paid the same, because Cotto is not the real "Champion" so there will be no money to be made right? So Arum should guarantee this amount of money and then whatever else is made should go to Cotto. I think GBP should think about this.

Since when does Mosley has a following of fans, he has some fans but nothing like Cotto who has a whole country and is dragging non Puerto rican boxing fans into his bandwagon because of his exciting style. Mosley should earn just a little bit more something like 55-45 but GBP shouldn't be making ridiculous financial demands. Lets forget about Margarito and do this fight now, this is the fight I want to see the most aside from the Mayweather fight for Cotto.
