Props to Cotto for getting into that ass. But hey Zab put on a game effort after being out of the ring for a year. He kept his cool after getting hit in the nuts twice. But those who say that the low blows was what caused Zab to lose. It wasn't. It was Zab's fault that he lost. He was to worried about his eye and not trying to get knocked out. But Zab is still one of the baddest fighters around.
I also have a feeling that we will be seeing a Miguel Cotto vs. Zab Judah II.
I don't think that Zab is done, despite his last four fights do not contain a win. I though he was impressive to say the least. He never takes a step down. He lost to Baldomir (who did write the book on how to beat him, not Mayweather), then immidiately took on Mayweather. Now Cotto. Zab lost fair and square but gets nothing but admiration from me. He has never taken a step down before, and I'd be surprised if he lowered his level of compititon now.
He's not done ,but he doesn't beat any of the top fighters at 147. Judah is super fast but his downfall is that he doesn't have a plan b or c . He starts off good but then loses focus and throws less and less as the rounds go by. I also have to mention that only a fool who is getting a beating as judah was last night would pound on their chest and say Brooklyn. Yeah, i get it your're from Brooklyn , now go out and throw some punches at Cotto.
It's a hard question to answer, depending on what Zab does in the near future. If he really digs down, gets some tune up fights and get his confidence and skills back to where they were before, hell no he is not done. If he just continues to do what he is right now, he is a good fighter but probably not capable of beating the big names in the division. Also I agree that he should get rid of Yoel.
Zab is good but hes just not great. I, along with many others in the past thought Zab could be a great fighter. But he has proven that he just doesn't have that in him. Its too bad. Maybe three years ago if he would worked with a better trainer things would have turned out different. Yoel is a good trainer but I don't think hes the best guy for Zab.
i say all he is, is a sacrificial lamb to fighters eager to test if they have what it takes to be an elite. like to cotto, it was a test to see if he is truely a champ. he just should seek pay days for up and comers.
Judah is done is when it comes to fighting the top guys..
His been found out in every fight..
What he needs to try and do is ditch his old man who aint the best
of trainers and try hook up with Manny or roach anyone is an improvement
on Yoel "Shaft" Judah
it doesn`t look like he has the conditioning that he needs anymore to fight the style that he has.
He still looks to have good reflexes but his stamina seems to have got a lot worse.
Is Zab Judah done?
Is his career pretty much over? Will he ever fight an important fight again?
I say Cotto was pretty much the final chapter for Judah. He'll probably fight a few more times, and I think he might have one more big-name fight, but he's done for the most part. Unless he has a serious reformation as a fighter, his best days are long behind him.
Yeah. I agree.
Unless he can get a Cotto rematch and win, his career as a big name is over.
Like I said in another thread, I'm almost certain that pussies like Shane Mosley and Ricky Hatton will be interested in a fight with him now.
lol,,,,why wouldnt have mosley or hatton wanted to fight him before? it would be an easy win on there resume. you act like judah is a shot fighter when he's the same fighter he's always been. he just sucks and cant beat top guys. he's always been hugely overrated and calling mosely and hatton pussies is laughable,,,espescially considering its judah thats one of the biggest bitches in boxing
Yeah. I agree.

Whenever i hear the name Zab Judah, i immediately think what a silly name. Not a fighters name for some reason. The guy isnt all that is he. Did he make his name by testing PBF a bit and getting knocked out by Kostya?
Hes an ok boxer but he isnt no elite!
I agree with the guy who started the thread, i think cotto was far too superiour physically and zab wasnt using his skills enough, the low blows wouldnt have contributed alot to the loss of judah.
As for judahs character i got nothing but praise, most people thought he would of milked the low blows, but he got back up and fought like a man, he showed the heart and guts to face cotto in each round. I think judah is far from finnished and he still posseses that lightning hand speed

I agree Zab isnt washed up and you never know what he is going to do!!! Plus i would like to see them fight again but zab needs to get his head in the next one!!!
JUDAH back to undercards for you buddy!
back to undercard fights for zab judah, he'll have to get about 4 impressive victories to have his name thrown around again
Judah wasnt conditioned, and he wasnt prepared for the fight..
I feel Mayweather can beat Cotto any day of the week, and if Judah can take the first 5-6 rounds off of Mayweather, he should be able to do it to Cotto, two or three more fights to shake that rust off and I feel he'll destroy Cotto
thats true before you know it. he may be fighting Hatton or Antonio Margarito.
I would probably pick him to beat either. But then again...it IS Judah. On paper, he crushes them. In real life...could be completely different.
if zab gets a real trainer and dumps his dad, he might have a chance at salvaging his career. yoel judah is terrible in the corner. he says the most absurd stuff in there. telling zab that he's busting cotto and to relax, and saying cotto is getting tired! ha! that was laughable, when cotto has done nothing but pick up his pace each round.
zab gets a better trainer and get's out of brooklyn away from distraction, he has a chance to win some more fights. it's going to be hard to train zab to actually use his skills and box. zab loves posing and looking for the one big shot all fight long while he gets out worked and eventually beaten up. all the while he's dad is telling him the furthest thing from the truth and sending him back into the fight with bad information.
yoel judah isnt a good trainer at all.
