Whisky Tango Foxtrot!!!!!
Ricky Hatton -185
Jose Luis Castillo +145
Over 10½ -185
Under 10½ +145
These are pretty close odds, but still! Guess I'm going to be putting my money on Castillo after all. I think he's going to win anyway, but I wasn't putting any money down thinking he'd be a -200 favorite or something. Maybe I'll put my money on the under as well since I think he'll KO hatton in 10.
Castillo is underdog because hes moving up in weight, aint getting any younger and looked like shit in his last fight. Hatton will punish him and mayb stop him late. Hatton will be relentless from the get go till the fight is over wether its by the final bell or what
There are talks the the Bomber might show up to the fight and yes I'm putting money on Castillo. Ill just wait for the odds to get better.
You and me both, Mexican Pride.
Dont listen to Baya...for a few reasons...
1) hes Puerto rican (So what if you are too)
2) He hates Castillo-he wanted Cotto v. Castillo and is still pissed about it.
3) He is an Iranian sympathizer
Let those limey bastards bet up their boy and then pounce...I will be there and will be laying some money on JL myself...Im going to strongly look at Castillo by stoppage...I can envision a stoppage via cuts.
you, prboxingfan and bomber are betting with your hearts. i'd LOVE to see castillo beat hatton - but it's not going to happen. hatton'll play pac to castillo's morales minus the first fight.
scap, you and bomber better rep w/ huge mexico shirts, OH and tell those annoying fukken brit fans to shut the hell up while they sing the national anthems, classless fucks.
In reply to the bolded statement, I never said Castillo was the bigger man. If you bothered to read the text you quoted in your post, you'd see I said they are even in size (i.e. nobody has the size advantage).
And, Hatton was in BIG trouble in the last round against Collazo. If he didn't become Ricky "the Huggin' Man" Hatton in that 12th round he would've been KD'd. He was smart to hold on but he was badly hurt. If you can't see that then you're either blind or a nuthugger (no offense).
He was hurt but lucid, and he clinched to clear his head. Nowhere close to being knocked out. And he controlled the rest of the round.
North Americans are idiots
My wife is North American...
So Castillo fought at Welter, and is not fighting at Junior Welter and hasn't moved down in weight? That doesn't make sense, they have both fought at 147, both moved down in weight and Castillo has conducted most of his career at 135. How is he bigger than Hatton?
Also how was he "almost KOd" by Collazo? I would have thought that to be "almost KOd" you would have to be knocked down and almost counted out, or at the very least be caught on the ropes and in trouble, not get hit three or four times in the middle of the ring and then clinching.

His last couple of fights were an anamoly I reckon due in part to the deal with weight in Collazo and the unusually long layoff for Urango. Hatton hasn't had enough time to blow up too much between Urango and Castillo so I don't think it will be a decisive difference.
In any case Roberto Duran's blowups were ten times worse than Hatton's and he still managed to be an all time great.
Hatton should be the favourite. He's the younger fighter in years, much younger in ring-years and he is undefeated. He's also the bigger man and has the big win against Kostya Tszyu under his belt.
I know what your saying but how much do you think his binges between fights will or have already prematurely aged him as a fighter.
Castillo is underdog because he is coming up in weight and because he didn't look that hot in his last fight. But if I were you I would not lock in my wager yet if your betting real money.
If I were you I would search over sea's bookies money lines on Friday. Hatton is popular and the European and late money will probably move the line some more in Hatton's favor, therefore giving you better odds.
Is Hatton big in Europe??
Actually, Hatton is not the bigger man. Castillo has also fought at WW (Hatton only had one fight at WW and then moved back down). I'd say they're even in size but JL is more experienced, has an iron chin (something Hatton can't claim after almost getting KOd by Collazo and then running away from Urango all night), and is going to take Hatton into deep waters and drown him.

If it was pre corrales castillo, the crowd would be picking bits of Hattons
fringe off the arena to sell on ebay or anything left of Hatton.
As it stands castillo looked awful in his last fight and is quite worn out to be honest..
Hatton UD after clinching, some low blows and some more clinching

I like both fighters havent a problem with either..
Both are strong great fighters should be good..
Either one can win this fight its just who shows up best on the night,
If im pushed i'd go with Hatton,Castillo as been in way 2 many wars and is at
the tail end of his career
