Miranda was dehydrated

I am outraged! How dare Pavlik punch Miranda so hard that his eyes swelled shut! Miranda couldn't see that last right hand coming, NO FAIR! If Pavlik wouldn't have done that Miranda would have dominated, I call for a rematch!

when you see the fight you will reclassify to major setback I saw the fight, it isn't a major setback because Miranda has a lot of technical flaws, mainly his defense, he was bound to be exploited. Sure he got his ass kicked by Pavlik, but it's no way a major setback. Miranda can only improve upon this fight. I say he needs to get back on the gym, get a new trainer and improve on his overall technical skills. And it's obvious he shouldn't be fighting at middleweight anymore.

Did any of you notice that Miranda was huffing and puffing and throwing arm punches by the third round? He had a problem making weight, that is a good indication that he wasn't ready for this fight. All Pavlik had to do was pressure him and run him out of gas. It is a stupid way to lose a fight, but it happened yet again. good for him, fighters need to stop draining out themselves just to have an extra advantage in lower divisions.

i saw miranda for the first time against allan green and was not too impressed. i agree with those who say overrated. im no allan green fan (and actually i wanted green to lose that fight whiel watching it) but i believe that something was wrong with green that night and everyone jumped all over miranda.

I haven't seen the fight, but from what I saw from his previous fights Miranda definitely needs to improve on his defense, or at least learn how to fight backwards. I'm a fan of Miranda, but I had a bad feeling about this fight. Miranda will learn from this loss and get back on track, their was nothing to be ashamed of. He fought a hell of a fight against a fighter who just better that night. This is nothing more then a minor setback, so he can get in the gym and improve on his technical skill, or at least get a new trainer.

If Miranda was so dehydrated he could have drunk water during the fight. (Which a lot of fighters don't), and also certain fluids are allowed, gatoraid like stuff can now be used in boxing in between rounds to rehydrate fighters. Yet, a lot of boxers continue not to. (I think the superstition is that taking on fluids during the fight will make your stomach soft and slow you down). Also, if Miranda is so dehydrated and having so much trouble making weight (because he has too much muscle) he should fight in another division. Like one 8 pounds heavier, super middle weight.

So Miranda deserves no credit for beating Allan Green? That's how Green looked in their fight... Actually that comparison amazingly accurate. Miranda pressured Green and Pavlik pressured Miranda, both times it was a very effective strategy against an opponent who wasn't in top conidition. Im not making excuses for Miranda nor Green, my views on this dehydration bullshit are well known on this website. These days a high pressure style is probably the best way to win a fight because most boxers in the lower weight divisions are dehydrated.

agreed, i think this ass whoopin will change miranda the way that corrales changed ancelino freitas i also think abraham is ruined for the record and i thought he was average in the first place.. ive seen demers a couple times and hes a limited but solid fighter.. ill be throwin a bet on him to win cause hes a longshot and i think he prob atsnads a 30-35 percent chance of winning the fight Great minds think alike :fing02: Demers is a massive underdog I am going to put a little on him as well. Miranda was pissing me off, all his punches were soft. It looked nothing like Miranda, when Miranda was trading those were weak as hell punches. I'd take Miranda in a rematch by KO.

wlads fight was a one sided massacre in his favor until he hit a wall. that was a totally different scenario than the competitive slugfest with miranda and pavlik It wasn't competitive, it was entirely one sided apart from a promising moment for Miranda in the 5th. And then he started the sixth more positively and opened up - only to get sparked.

... Miranda was overmatched in every single way. He lost because he is the inferior fighter. I saw this coming from a mile away.
