Of everyone out there I thought it would have been Dela Hoya last night.
Now,I think this guy go on a while longer, until father Time catches up with him.Looking at the logical contenders to beat him,I can't see any of them doing it.
Best chance...Sugar Shane,perhaps because he's a lot like Oscar,big with a little more hand-speed.
Slim chance,Cotto and Felix Trinidad.I'm mentioning Felix just as a stretch...in case he were to comeback and beat Oscar.
Cotto...we will know more after the Zab fight.
No chance,Rickey Hatton...Mayweather beats him pretty easy.Mayweather is bigger, faster and would slice and dice him.
Who else is out there?
Man I think big pressure is the way to beat him. I give Hatton a chance as he has good stamina and knows how to use his pressure fighting. Do you guys remember the Jesus Cjaves fight? He had Mayweather on the ropes all night. Only problem is he didn't have enough power or stamina to have any affect. And plus, Hatton vs Mayweather makes for a more entertaining fight then Mosley vs Mayweather
oh come on man you cant really believe that all the current belt holders are boxings best. the belt mayweather just took from de la hoya means nothing, de la hoya won it from ricardo mayorga after coming back from a long layoff after being knocked out by bernard hopkins, and ricardo mayorga won the vacant belt right after he got knocked out by trinidad...come on man your smarter than that...look at arturo gatti, b level fighter at best, carlos baldomir, the same. anyone who can walk and swing can win a freaking belt.
Floyd was the legit champ at 130, 135 and 147. He would've been champ at 140 if Hatton would have fought him. Which I really don't understand. Ricky Hatton is the undisputed champion at 140 and "isn't ready" to fight the best? How can people take this guy serious when he's considered the champ, but won't fight a guy who is a real threat. Who is a better Jr. Middleweight than Oscar De La Hoya? Cory Spinks was the man at 154, but he's moving to 160 and do you really want to see Floyd vs. Spinks? You can trash Baldomir, but you can't deny the fact that he beat the undisputed WW champ (who Floyd also beat) to become the champ. No, the beltholders aren't always the best, but there was nobody better than Corrales (130), Castillo (135), Judah and Baldy (147) or Oscar (154) along with Hatton wanting no part of Mayweather at 140.
Its crazy how he keeps beating all these scrubs. Whats even crazier is how these shitty guys he's beating keep becoming champions and beltholders before Floyd beats them.
amen, thank you.

There are lots of boxers who could beat PBF. If you get out of boxing at the right time of course you can be undefeated. Lots of boxers today are undefeated now. Yes PBF is unbeaten haven fought good fighters. But there is always someone in line to beat you. Mosely could beat him. Hatton could beat him. If PBF dont produce what he is capable of on the night he can and will lose. And fighters dont always produce good form.
I would favor Shane Mosley in a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Nothing against Floyd either, I picked him to destroy Baldomir, Oscar, and Judah. I just think Mosley's speed is good enough to bother Mayweather.
Make this fight happen!
Williams defense was too bad lately. if Mitchell can hit him, Floyd can easily.
Would be interesting though.
Mayweather vs Mosley I wanna see!!
Edit: To the guy, who says Hatton will outwork Floyd.
How will he do that? He comes in ill at fightnight as always and hugs Mayweather because of his bad stamina
I had forgotten about Paul Williams...that height might prove to be difficult, but I believe Mayweather still wins that one.
As for Hatton and Mayweather...I don't think we will see that fight anytime soon, for a number of reasons.Hatton, even his fans must admit has just not been very impressive in his last few fights.People in the USA have not seen enough of him to make a mega pay-per view fight with Mayweather worth while.
To me,and most others here,he just does not look like a serious threat to Mayweather. Not when you struggle with the Collazos and Urangos of the world.
Also,I believe Hatton's camp knows better, even if his fans don't....
I think Mosley has the best shot...but even that is not a good one.
Whoever said,Kessler and Calzaghe....maybe.But why stop there, how about Floyd vs Klitchso???...just kidding.
PBF is a fake.
You would be stupid to think that he's unbeatable when all he ever fought were low level competetion.
The last fight just proved he's a fake. He lost the fight with DLH when he should have blown an old DLH off.
Its crazy how he keeps beating all these scrubs. Whats even crazier is how these shitty guys he's beating keep becoming champions and beltholders before Floyd beats them.
Hatton hasn't looked good since he beat Maussa (big deal). Floyd would eat him alive. He is faster, stronger and much more skilled at this point.
Mosley has a weak jab, so Floyd would be watching for the straight right all night. Shane is like an orthodox Zab Judah in that he's just throwing the jab out there to set up a big shot. It would be a decent fight, but I think Floyd wins fairly easy.
Cotto is going to be tough for anyone to beat because of his body work. I give him the best chance, but he wouldn't beat Floyd right now. In another year or two when Floyd has slowed down a little more cotto would give him a good fight.
Margarito.... I can't even joke about him making it a good fight.
Cotto, Hatton and Mosley.
Hatton at 140 is nigh on unbeatable, if he fights Floyd there he could outwork and smother him for the decision.
Mosley is fast, big and powerful he'd give Floyd real problems.
Cotto is a beast at his best and could really hurt Floyd to the body.
Hatton would be gatti'ed.........Hatton is overrated and a closet homo with all that humping he does....PBF would never fight him because he's been exposed in America and it wouldn't sell on PPV.....He's lucky he beat Kosta who happened to be coming off a two and half years hiatus......He's a cool dude though, def. someone who you'd wanna go out to bars with and get smashed
Cotto and Mosley have the best shot at PBF.
