he looked tired, get getting caught with big rights and lefts from diaz, he could barely stand up, defend himself and he didnt come out for the 9th.
after quitting twice, i think freitas should officially be labled as a quitter.
damn it!!!!!freitas didnt quit!!!!!!!!!!!!his trainer told him:"LA PELEA SE ACABO PAPI"(THE FIGHT IS OVER...)
Now Freitas is getting so much hate becuase of the stupid translator....
It was a great fight and round 2?3? was awesome...
but im happy my boy baby bull won
Even if the trainer said that. You would think freitas would have wanted to go on but he didnt. By the end of the last round you saw it in his face that he wanted to quit. I told everyone he would quit when i saw his face. He should retire...
Freitas still fought like a warrior. No shame what so ever.
Even if he said he wanted to quit, I don't blame him.
He got badly hurt in that last round and I don't know how he stayed up till the bell.
Fought like a warrior? What fight did you look at? First off, the guy did quit. He was never getting hit with hard enough punches to warant him quitting. Diaz can't punch very hard and I never saw Popo out on his feet in the entire fight. What happened was that he was hitting Diaz with everything and Diaz wasn't going anywhere and that demoralized him. He figured ," let me quit and go take a nap, cuz I'm not going to beat this guy". Granted, Diaz landed some nice punches but Popo just quit out there, bottom line. I don't know what you guys were listening to but I heard the corner say "the fight ISNT over" not that its over. As a matter of fact in the 7th you can hear Popo's trainer say, "the fight is just beginning". They asked him if he could go on and Popo said "NO". Thats why he wouldn't give an interview after the fight........HE QUIT.

I was actually pretty shocked when he quit for some reason.I really didn't think he would do it again.I thought he had learned from the backlash of the Corrales fight.Apparently not!Oh well,it really doesn't bother me.Time to retire though Popo...
I agree with everything you said.
I was a bit shocked by the choice to stop fighting....AGAIN!
Made me a bit angry because the fight was pretty competitive over the first part of the fight. Diaz is just a machine though isn't he? Freitas couldn't get away from that jab if his life depended on it.
Heart and stamina are two diffrent things just because he has hearth doesnt mean he's not in shape for anybody to trow so many punches every single round you got to have allot of fucken stamina, I think one of the reason he doesnt look and good shape to you is because he doesnt run as much from what I hear he swims allot.
That because of his heart not his diet. If he ate healthy and trained he wouldn't be so pudgy. Actually, if he ate healthy and trained hard I'd probably say he could beat pacman. But knowing pacman, he'd out-run this guy in the shape diaz is now. Diaz could be a monster if he knew how to eat healthy, people aren't just naturally fat, so I don't want to hear that excuse.
You couldn't be more wrong and know nothing of genetics. Diaz will never be cut, just like some fighters no matter what they eat are always thin. Your physique has NOTHING to do with how much you are in shape cardiovascularly. Some guys are born with good genetics, some guys aren't. No matter what Diaz eats he will never be cut or ripped, that doesn't mean he isn't in great shape. You think these offensive linemen in the NFL aren't in good shape because they weigh over 300 lb's? Try and play tackle or guard in the NFL for 4 quarters and see if it doesn't take stamina. Your physique has nothing to do with your cardiovascular shape or strength. Having big biceps or ripped muscles means nothing to your overral strength. Shit, the strongest men on the planet are fat guys, if you don't believe me watch " The Worlds Strongest Man" competition. Diaz is in great shape, no matter what he looks like.

i never EVER thought i'd say this.
diaz would own pac, straight out. diaz is too heavy and way too active for pac to try and beat a 135lber like diaz.
i'd a never thought, that out of the whole cintron, bojado, juarez and diaz push - that diaz would be the monster that he is today. you've gotta love that mf'er.
man boobs or not, he beats julio diaz, casa and pac. the guy is incredible.
..... i'd LOVE to see diaz and guzman .... wow
I wouldn't call him a pussy, you might be a Brasilian, but I'm pretty sure Popo has more heart in one of his fingers then you do in your whole body.
Considering he didint even get to sleep in a bed until he was 18..i mean, i grew up poor and in the projects, but we had beds and shit.
freitas had some moments even stunned Diaz a couple times but he was outworked got hurt and either he or his corner decided to stop it. pretty good fight until about the 7th round. neither of these guys deserve comments being posted here, both fought their ass off.

damn id really be surprised if popo ever gonna be in a big fight again.
he should go and play soccer instead.
this is total contrast to the suico-diaz fight. randy suico was battered but never quit.
The pussy version of him showed up on april 28th
id all but 4gotten about the freitas KD at the bell
that was one sickeningly sweet counter right hand
it stiffened barrios up
Can you believe this is the guy who wouldnt quit against Jorge Barrios?
thats what happens
the old times say it
we just hadnt seen it in a while
wed been fortunate and seen so many fighters who could over come fights like that
but when some fighters have fights like he did with barrios
they just arent the same afterwards
they leave a part of themselves
it changes them
whether they want to or not
its obvious hed want to continue "career"
he just cant
its a shame
Can't believe he quit. Really ruined an entertaining fight. I could see him getting frustrated but he was still in the fight. Pluus he rocked Dia on more than one occasion.
If you speak spanish you would of understood the trainer telling Freitas that the Fight is over. The translator got it wrong the translator said "The Fight Isn't over". Pac wouldn't be able to hurt Diaz at 135, so I think Diaz would get him TKO. Casamayor on the other hand will be a handfull for Diaz.
No, these over-paid boxers shouldn't just be able to quit. They can die in the ring for all I care, they make too much money to just quit. They are like spoiled rich brats. This is boxing, not a sissy sport like golf. They are in the wrong sport if they feel like quiting.
Thats very sad you think like that.I watch boxing to see competitive fights not to see people sent out round after round to take a beating when there is no chance to win.Pretty much all of those guys in the ring come from poverty and i respect them and hope that they manage to leave the sport well off financially and healthy.Theres nothing entertaining about seeing a guy beaten round after round with no chance at victory just so some people will be entertained by a brutal one sided beating. If you don't care if the fighters live or die then you care nothing for the sport and the fighters.
He ended his career as a pussy.
I know you aren't listening to common sense tonight...
But quitting before you damage yourself is nothing to be ashamed of. Watch Vic's last fight... You should wish people that were getting outclassed quit more often.
BTW I had it 6 rounds to 2
