How do you rate them in who you like the best to least.
Not who you think is the best fighter out of them, I would say Leonard but your favorite of them. In order I like Hearns, Hagler, Duran, then Leonard.
1.Hearns, hes a michigan boy after all. Very interesting fighter to watch with his huge reach for such low weightclasses he fought at.
2.Hagler, very entertaining fighter and very charismatic
3.Duran, just an all around bad dude
4.Leonard, never was a fan.
Duran - Have him in my top 3 ATG
Leonard
Hearns
Hagler
No disrespect to any of them they are all great but Duran was a beast and came up in weight to fight them.
I actually think he's underrated for his boxing skills and defense. He's the smallest of the 4 fighters, a natural lightweight and yet past his prime went 15 rounds with Hagler and only lost the descision by 1, 2 points. And he was the only one to go the distance with Hagler during his title reign before he lost to Leonard and retired.
The judges were drunk that night.
Hagler should have been ahead of Duran comfortably on the cards. Duran held his own by the fight really wasn't all that close.
Head-to-head Duran was the worst, but overall he gets ranked the highest.
All his fights against the other members of the fab 4 came in the 1980s, when he was at least 2 divisions above his best weight. Duran was the best fighter of the 70s along with Monzon.
1. Roberto Duran
2. Sugar Ray Leonard
3. Marvin Hagler
4. Thomas Hearns
Whom I like the best:
1. Roberto Duran/Thomas Hearns
3. Sugar Ray Leonard
4. Marvin Hagler
Hagler, Duran, Leonard, Hearns.
In fact, i dont quite understand why Hearns is liked by so many. Even at his best he always had an awkwardness about him. Plus i prefer fighters with good defences, i dont think Hearns ever had a good defence.
Hagler - Was my favorite fighter when I was a kid
Hearns
Leonard
Duran
I have respect for all 4 men, so I really don't hate any of these guys, I do think Duran is the most overrated from the 4 guys!
