I wish they were at the same time and cross paths at welterweight, Trinidad would have whoop Floyd Mayweather so bad that PBF may never even crack at the pound for pound ratings, can stand the way Floyd has been behaving lately like a spoiled brat.
Tito has ruined lots of careers, david reid, fernando vargas, and the beatdown he gave Mayorga. no one beats Tito at 147, despite having difficulty making the weight limit, he still made DLH ran for his lives the last 3 rounds when oscar was feeling his punches, and that Dela hoya was 10 times better than Mayweather.
Well, Oba Carr was definately not out of his prime.
Mayweather definately has the skills to beat Tito. Tito definately has the advantage on power and size. Analyzing the stylistic matchup between these two fighters I would have to say that the only chance that Tito has is a punchers chance. Other than that, Mayweather takes the cake. Mayweather would not hurt Tito at all, but he would block many of his punches and pitty-pat his way to a convincing decision.
After watching again the Reid fight, who had nice deffense and was very quick, I tend to give Tito a better chance against a pitty-patter. Remember, that was at 154 in Tito's prime.
what the fuck, all of those guys were out of their prime, well out of their prime

See, this is the problem, why you say "easy"? cuz the way he beat Baldomir, Sharamba, and/or Judah...Please...
Oscar made easy work of Tito for 8 rounds before he decided to run. Floyd is a master Boxer, he would do the same. Sorry but it's true. Tito was a great puncher but not a tactical boxer.
Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit. First off, I don't give two shits about analyzing fights that will never happen so I don't get feelings hurt over fake shit unlike some fanboys here.
I bet that most of you would be the kind of idiot that would say "heart beats talent anyday" to an actual professional boxer at a press conference. Lay off the Rocky movies.
You dont give two shits eh? Well why did you "waste" five minutes browsing through the thread then? How about you get the fuck outta here?
That's why he lost to Camacho, Oba Carr, and Whitaker at 147....Right?
what the fuck, all of those guys were out of their prime, well out of their prime

It would be a great fight now actually. I think if they fought now it would be an interseting class of styles but Tito would KO him. Tito in his prime would beat the shit out of floyd.
And Floyd is much smaller, more fragile, and less powerful than Wright. But yeah everything you said directly comments on my point that they have different styles. (dripping)
Tito at his 147 peak is also much different than Tito at 160, 15 years into his career after a 2 1/2 year layoff.
Tito couldn't handle that weight, that's why he was put down many times in the second round. Titos best weight that he faught comfortable in was 154 plus. Yeah againts winky he had 2.5 years off, but againts b-hop he was just in the ring 5 months before. And againts bhop he was at the peak of his prime.
Suprise?
Is no Surprise that you are talking shit bout Puerto Ricans, fuckin bitch...hey man, calm down, don't let posters get to you. read my post again, i chose floyd to win, and he didn't fight at welterweight longer than tito. imo, he didn't have to fight at welterweight for me to believe this, showing that it's not about size, power, speed, or anything else unless you have the smarts to use them effectively. floyd is an overall smarter fighter than tito. i cannot stress this enough, and it seems like people on here just overlook my claim that floyd is a smart fighter. he fights smart. that's how you win. add to that, his training just puts his stamina, endurance, and energy into frameset for him to be athletic enough to use his smarts effecitvely without getting tired. in other words, he knows when to turn it up on his opposition. he paces himself, and rarely punches himself out, something tito did a lot at welterweight. he throws punches at the right time usually, and dictates his punch output this way, unlike tito, which is why he is so accurate, while throwing under 60 punches per round a lot of times, and his timing is usually impecable(better than tito's), which is another trait of his that would get him the victory against tito.
i gave tito a lot of credit, but i also call it like i see it. i'm not denying that tito has power, and that he's more powerful than floyd, because it's true. i'm not denying that tito had great handspeed as well, seeing as though he was one of the fastest power punchers of all time in any weight class imo. i'm not denying that floyd is quicker than tito overall, because he is. all i'm implying is that floyd is overall, a smarter fighter than tito, and that you can deny or agree with, but that's how i see it.
Fanboys analyzing fantasy fights is one of the stupidest things I've read. I want my five minutes back.
You don't like leave the fucking site.
A true boxing fan has the knowledge to be able to take two fighters and match them up. No matter how dumb your post is if you think you can defend it well enough then post. If your going to post your shit, tells me you can't handle shit past what the critics say.
Your right.
Floyd is faster than Winky, has better footwork and better defense.

At 147 I would take Floyd by extremly wide UD.
tito had a better left hook than dela hoya, he throws punishing uppercuts on the inside and has kayo power in his straight right, how would floyd deal with that, what happens if he tastes tito's left hook? Trinidad may be vulnerable when cleanly tagged as proven by numerous knockdowns, but people tend to forget his vicious punching power has sometimes overshadowed outstanding boxing skills, trinidad likes to spend a round or two sizing up his opponent before moving in for a finish, and has also shown lateral movement to box, in contrast, what has mayweather had in his arsenal taking on light punching competition, he may become complacent once he took on someone aint slow like baldomir.
Not really...we haven't seen Tito fight anyone with Floyd's style.
Floyd is not Nard and he's not Wright. They are all great defensive fighters sure, but the other two were much bigger than Floyd. It'd be interesting to see how Floyd dealt with Trinidad's length, size, power and relatively fast hands.
Your right.

i tend not to want to feel that way about Tito my childhood hero, but after the DLH fight i never held him in the high regard i did before it. He always struggled with guys who could move and punch and move away from his signature punches.
This is very very true. Floyd by UD. Easy.
I say Floyd beats Tito 9/10 times.
Just a terrible style matchup for Tito.

Now come on, show some class man, Tito was a great fighter and he beat some good fighters. This thread is about him vs Mayweather, stylistically Mayweather would give him fits and beat him easily, but dont downplay Tito, He just could'nt deal with "great" boxers like Winky, B-Hop, Oscar and wont be able to with Floyd, remember Tito was the first to give Vargas a career beating...anyway Tito was one of the P4P Hardest punchers, but Mayweather would easily beat him because they have different styles and styles make fights.
Those past their prime fighters were a lot better than Zab, Baldi and Sharmba (can we say those two are past their prime as well), these are the kinda WW PBF has beaten.
Now, if you gonna talk styles, PBF could give Tito lots of fits by roling right into Tito's left hook or leaning back the way he does and getting himself right in the line of fire of that long shotgun right hand from Tito. Those good boxers you mentioned, they didn't beat Tito by only moving away, they had good and underrated power as well, that's why Tito wasn't coming in so easily, something PBF doesn't have in these divisions. Not to mention Tito gets very strong as the fight goes on and in his prime used to cut the ring off very well.
Not trying to discredit PBF because he's a great fighter, but saying he would beat a prime Trinidad at 47 or 54 is stupid, PBF's a blown up live weight. Better keep him away from good light punchers at 47 and 54.
