I dont understand all this BS people talk about Mayweather.
He hasn`t fought anyone who I would call a great fighter.
Lets look at his record
Chavez - old man with more fights than floyd has had dinners
Corrales - overrated
Castillo - overrated again. ko'd 4 times at featherweight, yet floyd couldn`t knock him out in 24 rounds.
Gatti - shot fighter who was finished after the super fights with ward, picked to make floyd look good.
Mitchell - ko'd by an aging Tszyu and many other non entities
Judah - again he was exposed by Tszyu
Mayweather only fights old men or shot fighters....there isn`t a single great fighter on his record...yet everyone is blowing smoke up his ass like hes amazing.
He's champion but hasn`t fought a champion.
To top it off he's retiring after fighting oscar de la hoya, another aging fighter ...
hugh grant is a horrible poster...and this thread sums it up..
casual fan much?..Thank you for bumping this thread..enjoyed the laugh!! :lol1:
Most everyone knew that years ago...
Have you still watched Maidana fight yet?
Have you see Mayweather-Castillo yet?
You know the f*cktard hasn't.. Nobody takes his sh*tty ass posts serious. He's like a retarded version of Bombs, checkbooks and edgard.
well the fact is Floyd has too casual approach to fighting and making fights. If Floyd had of beat Cotto, it would have been a great win for Floyd, just like it should be, and was for Pac.
So why is brother jay embarassing himself by asking who has Pac fought type questions when Pac beating Cotto is better than anything Floyd had did?
I don't see what your reply has to do with you saying Floyd ducked Cotto when you have no evidence to suggest he did. Just because they didnt fight until recently doesn't mean it was Floyd that ducked Cotto.
Hasn't Cotto gone on the record stating that he was never in pursuit of a Mayweather fight until just recently?? How can Mayweather duck someone that never called him out?

Well, he beat Cotto, who Floyd ducked for years for starters. He beat hatton at hattons best weight and ko'ed him in 2. Floyd wouldnt ever ko hatton in 5 rounds let alone 2. Floyd wouldnt ever stop DLH, any version hed never stop.
SO whatever way you look at it, Pac deserves to be above Floyd in anyones rule book.

There is no case to be made for Pacquiao being in the top 5.
Why?
Who has Manny beaten to warrant such a ranking?
.

If Floyd beating a bloated JMM after 2 years out gives Floyd a no2 ranking and Sergio beating Paul Willimans gives him a no3 ranking, Pac has done plenty to justify being no1, lets not even discuss no5.
Well, the experts have Floyd where he should be, and that somewhere behind Pac, so he is rated just about right, unless you think BH should be above him, or JC.
But he is overated in the sense that everything rests on that unbeaten record of his. He is a defense wizard, but there is much more to being great than that.
I havent seen the whole of the PBFv Castillo fights, only bits and pieces. I have read on many occasions that PBF lost both fights. Obviously i dont believe this, but ive heard it more than once for some reason.
In 2007 you hadn't seen the Mayweather-Castillo fights?
When did you start following Boxing?

WASNT OLD WHEN THEY FOUGHT
Corrales - overrated
Since WHEN IS A GUY THAT STOPS AN UNDEFEATED SUPERSTAR, AND PARTICIPATES IN ONE OF THE MOST EXCITING FIGHTS EVER, OVERRATED?
Castillo - overrated again. ko'd 4 times at featherweight, yet floyd couldn`t knock him out in 24 rounds.
KO'D EARLY IN HIS CAREER, AND IS ONE OF THE BETTER LIGHTWEIGHTS OF OUR GENERATION. WINS OVER STEVIE JOHNSTON, WHO WAS AT THE TOP OF MOST P4P LISTS
Gatti - shot fighter who was finished after the super fights with ward, picked to make floyd look good.
Mitchell - ko'd by an aging Tszyu and many other non entities
Judah - again he was exposed by Tszyu
JUDAH WAS DOMINATING TSZYU UNTIL TSZYU GOT LUCKY. THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN JUDAH'S COMING OUT PARTY. HE WAS SCHOOLING THE GUY

Corrales is a good fighter, but being exciting doesn't mean anything at all in terms of skill.
And also, Judah dominated A ROUND against Tszyu before getting stopped.

The first fight you can argue but the rematch was a clear Floyd win.
Even Castillo would say so.
What I'm saying is that a lot of people automatically say that Mayweather lost the fight, when it could have gone either way.
Then they either are paying too much attention to the commentators or something.
Castillo took forever to get going. Not that Floyd was completely dominating and beating up JLC early, but he was still doing more effective work.
Lets be honest here, and im no big fan of his but Floyd is super talented and i actually feel privaledged to hav seen him fight! Mayweather is one for the ages! Unbeatable? No.
