Mcgirt=Instant Loss

I thought this was mainly because adamek can barely understand english??? wrong, Adamek knows english more than enough to understand instructions, instructions that come in normal english that is...........Mcgirt was expecting him to understand that slang crap....Mcgirt should have kept his instructions in simple english!!........either way though, it seemed that Adamek and his entire camp totally underestimated Dawson..........

before it just seemed like a bad spell, but im convinced, mcgirt just isnt as good as everyone thinks, and his record with champions right now speaks volumes. he gave him the right advice to pressure him , he needed to get inside with movement.. but he wouldnt tell him why he needed to do that.. becuase he was the harder inside puncher

hes just overated, i said it from the start. he doesnt give much good advice, after the first few rounds he didnt say shit to adamek, all he said was move your hands you gotta throw some punches lol

Mcgirt sucks. All his fighters lose. Why do they keep going to him for help? You can say some of them did improve, though shit, you go with another "top" trainer, and your skills will improve and you won't be losing. I consider Mcgirt a tier 3, maybe tier 2 trainer. Tier 1's are the Nacho Beristain, Manny Steward, Floyd Mayweather Sr., and Freddy Roach type guys. You see major improvements that make fighters look completely new.

All of McGirt's fighters improve a lot from the time the start working with him. Before he started working with McGirt Tarver was coming off a loss to Eric Harding and was looking like an extremely ordinary fighter. McGirt got to working with him and before you know it he is a pound for pound top ten guy. Obviously Gatti improved a lot as well and his career went up. The problem is that people only remember the last fight, but McGirt does great work with everyone he trains and is one of the best trainers.

I have thought the same thing about Mcgirt for a long time.

Adamek isn't that good of a fighter. When McGirt was telling him to throw double jab and then straight right hand...he never did because he was getting outclassed. Could you imagine if that was Vasily Jirov fighting Dawson yesterday? lol. Instead of his corner telling him he needs a knockout he would have fought like that since the beginning of the first round and stopped Dawson with ease. As it stands Adamek literally chased Dawson around without throwing punches. I don't think this was really the case where Dawson looked so great even though he was impressive......it's just that Adamek is pure garbage. He seems to give the right instructions most of the times, but his fighters dont listen. The only good Ive seen him do is teach Gatti good footwork and head movement. i dont know man, if gatti/bojado/adamek/brewster/julio all seem to have the same problem, maybe its not the trainer.
