I was watching Outside the lines yesterday and it was a segment on steroid and HGH use in sports. It shows an interview of JT and his doctor. The doctor confirms and shows a copy of a lab report from 2005 which states that James has low test and Igf-1 levels because of pituitary gland damage from boxing. James also admits on the show that he took nandrolone while injured so that he could heal properly and to get his hormone levels up to where they needed to be.

Yeah, I saw that too. He was taking them as prescribed by his physician due to low hormone levels associated with blows he sustained during his career, if I remember the show correctly. Which means he WAS guilty of the positive test but not guilty of all the backlash he recieved from everyone for knowlingly cheating. Again, if I'm not mistaken, he was only on the roids for a short period before he even started training and they anticipated incorrectly that by the time the fight would roll around, his body would be cleared of any traces.
Ok...and without the proper hormone level all the things you have said are slowed drastically there for the roids being used as medication would ony correct this and would put on even terms with his opponent .Anyway let me find out more about it before we go on . I understand the rules and know what you mean . There may be other things that he could use . ^^^^never mind that part I know rules are rules, I just feel bad for him because it's not his fault that he neds something of the sort .
In That case.. you are injured an unable to fight.. its as simple as...

he doesnt have enough testosterone???
does this mean he has a small penis??? :puppy_dog
Well here is the thing . If Toney has a low hormone level and takes the steroid as a form of medication too stabilize and correct the problem is it still cheating ? If the steroid was given in proper form then it would have only put him on even terms and NOT gave him a unfair advantage .
exactly, great post
I'm simply pointing out that he admitted to using steroids. Bonds has never been caught using steroids and he has never admitted to using.
are you kidding me?

Bonds admitted using steroids in court but he said he thought it was flaxseed oil.
He said he thought it was flaxseed oil and arthritis cream but never knew it was steroids and no one could ever prove it was in fact steroids he took.

It was unfortunate what happened to Toney, it would have been good to see what had happened were he to have continued with the belt. Should have been a rematch in my opinion, although of course he was banned from fighting for the WBA belt for 2 years so that wasnt a possibility.
He was a great fighter, but good point from Deeznuts, the fact that he never beat a top ten heavyweight means his career up there, really, never took off. Despite the fact that he was probably the most talented of the bunch!
I bet he fought his whole careerto dedicate it to you. Even though he never beat a top 10 HW and in this era that's pretty sad.
I dont think there is anything sad in campaining in at HW at age 35+, (beating a champ in the ring in the process, being robbed in your next to last fight) especially when it is just the cherry on a career, who saw you a multiple division champion, and a two times lineal champion. who started his career at middleweght.

You think ? Man that would be cool !
Does that mean Barry Bonds is the all time single season HR leader to you?
Truthfully YES .....If Mr.Spitball Cy Young himself is held in such regard then why not ?
I don't walk in his shoes ....He would have beat Ruiz with one hand tied behind his back. He's a champ to me no matter what .
