I dont know if anyone already posted this or disscussed this but apperentaly some sites had juan diaz born in Texas, but not long ago it was found out that he was actually born and raised in Huichuca Guerrero Mexico and now lives in Texas, boxrec.com and others had to change his nationality flag from American to Mexican, websites like wikipedia.net may still have not changed juand diaz's nationality yet along with some other boxers. did anybody else notice.

It's always been known that Diaz was born in Mexico. Showtime, HBO and ESPN have all said it when he fought on their network.

That is exactly why guys like Paez and Duran don't speak English in Public because of the Latin American Communities.
True, I cant remember the last time I heard paez speak english, but anyways I think he lives in bervely hills so I always thought he could at least speak broken english or something.
Juan Diaz and any other fighter for that matter is whatever he says he is. Not where he lives not where he was born, not who his parents are, not who he married or where his children are born. They are what they choose to be.
I just take these debates as if someone were saying Mexicans born in the U.S. are not Mexicans at all.
Their is no debate to the fact that Chicanos are looked down upon in Mexico by Mexican Nationals. Non Spanish Europeans born in Mexico have more credibility than guys like DeLaHoya and other Chicanos. That is just the way it is and I know it isn't right.
i have a question. what's with boxrec's bio on juan lazcano? it says hes born in america but it has his nationality as mexican.
which part of that are they screwing up?
He was born in America so his nationality is technically wrong since he isn't from Mexico. Manuel Gomez was born in Laredo, Texas but fought out of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.
whos trying to do that?
I just take these debates as if someone were saying Mexicans born in the U.S. are not Mexicans at all. To me it doesn't matter where they were born, it just makes me proud what Mexican blooded fighters are capable of doing, not where they were born.

I would have to disagree to a certain point because thats not the way ALL mexicans think, yea maybe some of them think like that but then if you Represent to the fullist like Vargas they all have love for you.
alot of mexicans up here in the north cant stand vargas. sound familiar?
