By Karl Freitag at the scale
Samuel Peter outweighed James Toney by 15 pounds for their SHOWTIME-televised rematch on Saturday night at the Seminole Hard Rock LIVE Arena in Hollywood, FL. Toney weighed in first at 234, one pound more than the first fight, although his body looked to be in much better shape. Peter scaled in at 249, eight pounds less than in their first fight. The Peter camp selected Reyes gloves, while the Toney group selected Everlast.
vitali took 8 rounds ...
and TECHNICALLY
audley took 13 rounds considering he lost the first fight of theres :)
TECHNICALLY
Also Audley did it so quick BECAUSE of what Vitali did to Danny, worst beating ever! Or at least 1 of them!
Well, Toney's dropped his body fat percentage, which is a good thing. We'll see if he's conditioned better for the 12 rounds. I liked the first fight, so I'm looking forward to this one.
Im not mad. I know Toney actually tried this time, and hes said from day one that the he liked to have extra weight for big punchers. If thats what makes him comfertable then so be it.
scott gammer pussyed out.. and audley is just staying busy..
I thought you said that he'll be a champion next year. How does this fight get him closer to the championship fight again? Isn't there at least top 20 fighter they could find?
there's no pictures yet... they've said Toney looks better now than in the first fight...
with or without weight results... Toney UD (like should have been the case in the first fight)
Toney's a "naturally" big guy now.. just because hes not 225 doesn't mean he's not in good shape.. too many people jump to conclusions on this board sometimes.. the case really is true for both fighters respectively
p.s. audley... WOW is that sig too big
.....I also have the feeling that they will both bring their A games this time. Hell, it has to be a better fight than the first one doesn't it?
I enjoyed the first fight but I really think that both fighters have put more time and effort into this one and hopefully that translates into a more exciting fight for fans.
I think regardless of the fighter's respective weights, both fighters are coming into this fight more prepared and motivated to win this fight convincly. I hope that whoever wins this fight wins in a way which leaves no questions lingering.
good post sir.

"At 234lbs Toney, meanwhile, actually weighed one pound more than he did four months ago. However, after vowing to cut out his bad eating and smoking habits, Light's Out cut a much more athletic figure than he did in September. "-secondsout.com
I don't think hes in bad shape. Probably just wanted to weigh in the 230's because of how big Peter is.
Toney has never been knocked out...IT WON'T HAPPEN SATURDAY to this bum!
OTHER THAN OSCAR, BEST CHIN IN THE GAME.
...Yeah, it's Oscar's liver that's glass. I told you guys that Toney was still going to come in heavy.
i havent seen a pic of jones but hey since you seem to know the score ...set one up for me brother!
The only picture I've got access to is the one in my "Great Book of Boxing" when he challenged Holmes.
If I can find one on the web, I'll post a link.
I predicted that both Toney and Peter would come into this fight in decent or better shape than in the first one because of all the reports of Toney training will Billy Blanks and Peter wanting to end this fight in a KO.
Well, my prediction was half correct in that Peter weighed in at 8 lbs less than the first fight. Without reading in to this too much, I'd say that Sam Peter's people made sure that he trained harder so that this time around it hopefully won't need to go to the judges scorecards.
