When I stated that I see Frazier scoring a KO, I believe its highly possible but I don't think he would knock Mike out cold. Tyson would get frustrated and tired as the fight wore on, he would get knocked down but would not complete get up resulting in a KO loss.

Id say that is 100% accurate. I still think Tyson, if he is able to adjust to Fraziers height, and lands some clean short punches early , which he was able to do early on in his career, he could get Joe outa there. But Joe is probably the favourite here. And also, for whoever said it...Frazier was NOT a slow puncher. He had good hand speed, and his left hook was IMO a very fast swift shot. ....the highest praise one could receive. :) Thanks Bobby....and I competely agree with your assessment of Joe's handspeed and in particular the left hook. That hook of Joe's was indeed a thing of beauty.

Some great views have been left! And it is true Joe was a slow starter..Tyson at his best did have great power! But to be honest, In alot of Tysons fights he already had won the fight just by pure fear! Now, I no Joe would not be in fear of Tyson that "Nodding Donkey" (As I like to call him, With no disrespect meant) had a damn hard punch himself and I do believe he would do the same as Evander did to Tyson if not better. Prime vs Prime? Frazier. Tyson would win the early rounds becaue Joe was always a slow starter and Tyson was a fast starter, so that's just logical. Here is where it gets interesting, though. Neither man would have been accustomed to fighting a man his own size. Now, while Tyson had more weight on him, that doesn't necessarily mean he would be the stronger fighter because Joe was a better infighter than Mike. Mike was more of a mid-range fighter who had to get set before he released. Joe didn't have to get set, he was always right in your chest and always working. Tyson, on the other hand, after exploding like a bomb in the first round and throwing huge punches pretty consistantly for the first couple or three rounds began to settle down and fight sporadically. He'd look for an opening and then release a combination, throwing body punches usually in ones and twos while bringing another one or two upstairs; but as soon as he got in a man's chest, he'd fall into a clinch pretty easily, which is something Frazier didn't offer. Frazier would have no interest in resting in a clinch because he built momentum as the fight wore on, while Mike slowed down. What we've got here are two fighters going in different directions. If Mike doesn't get Joe out of their early, more than likely Joe would wear Mike down and stop him late, sapping Mike's stamina and will to win with consistant pressure and hard body shots and eventually trapping Mike along the ropes or in a corner with Mike not throwing back. Joe won't get a clean knock out over Mike I don't think, though. Could Mike stop Joe early? Possible; but not probable. Tyson stands as one of the most overrated, undertalented fighters of all time, the only reason he came to find success was because he was in a division of nobodies. I can't believe how many people pick Tyson, especially considering the fact that Joe Frazier beat Muhammad Ali. So basically your argument is that Tyson is better than Ali. Frazier beat serious opposition and had a damn good career and has always been a favorite of mine. Tyson showed heart against Douglas. He was fighting with one eye and trying to the end to knock Douglas out. He just showed crap adjustment skills.

Either Tyson early or Frazier late. Thats the only outcomes I can see. It would be silly to suggest that a guy of Fraziers calibre doesn't stand a chance it's just the fact that Tyson was the quick starter that gives him the edge.

Wish you the best on getting a very good trainer...do what you can to want and seek out a trainer. A good trainer/teacher can make all the difference...this has to do with any sport or any type of field. one key point I always here from top athletes is that they write down there goals and read it when they wake up and then again when they go to sleep. They say to themselves "I want to get better, faster, stronger, smarter, etc."
