sakio bika is a dirty fighter, he caused markus beyer a cut with a headbutt and also caused calzaghe a cut with a headbutt. He was holding calzaghes arm and throwing low blows.
It seems JC approached this fight differently than Lacy. JC should have used his speed and jab to keep Bika away from him , but instead JC engaged in a lot of wrestling, which seemed to make him tired after the 7th. I had Bika actually winning two or three rounds in the middle of the fight after the head butt, and as JC got a little tired. I thought JC's corner should have instructed him more in technique like in the LAcy fight. AMong other things, they should have told him to stop wrestling with Bika, who was the visibly larger fighter. Compared to the Hopkins-Tarver fight and the Hopkins-Taylor fight, I would take JC against any of those fighters (based on his performance against Bika).
Once again, people are rushing to conclusions much too quickly. Calzaghe has been in these type of fights before, most notably against Kabary Salem, but he stepped it up against Lacy in the bigger fight. The same thing happened with Lennox Lewis, the only difference being that Calzaghe is still winning these fights, even if he sometimes is lacklustre.
Calzaghe just needs the motivation of a bigger name, and to get in the ring with someone of equal skill, to bring out the best in him, it's hardly rocket science. I think these types of fights are sometimes ''a blessing in disguise'', other fighters will look at a performance like this and be much more confident of taking Calzaghe on.

.....yeah, so what? That's boxing. You never heard Jack Dempsey nor Joe Louis whimping and whinning about it.
Some people are getting too carried away with Kessler. Kessler is a good boxer who will do well in the future, but his win over Beyer is not that great. It wasn't a matter of who would win, as everyone knew Kessler would beat him. It was more to do with how long it would take for Kessler to beat him, he was there for the taking.
Kessler is our next Lacy, the guy we all want to fight Joe so we can see him get that smirk off his face. Of course i respect joe, and his skills, and i know hegets up for intense fights. Doesnt mean i dont want to see him get his block knocked off, plus Kessler has some serious fucking tatoos.
This fight would have been an excellent wake up call for Joe. I'm glad it was a tough one for him. Watch out in the next fight. Joe will be back!!!!111111
No fighter would have taken out Bika, even if Joe had the same power he did 9 years ago, he wouldn't have taken out Bika.
Cumon man,no1 could have taken out Bika? He aint even a world class opponent, hes good, but not great, alot of the top middleweights would have taken him out,Bika aint anything special, before the fight everyone was saying Calzaghes gonna whipe him out
Very very tough fight for Calzaghe. Many people including Calzaghe thought Bika would be blown away but he showed just how good a fighter he is. Yes Bika is dirty with the leaning in and headbutts but thats how he fights. Bika loves to get in close and scrap with his opponents, Calzaghe got his tactics wrong by trying to get in close with Bika. I don't think Calzaghe will forget that fight in a hurry!
I dont think its because of how good Bika is,i think its because of how poor Joe was, lets be real,if that was Taylor in the ring wid Bika Taylor would have knocked him out, even LACY would have took him out,the things i read in the boxing magazine what Joe was saying before the fight made me think Joe was gonna tottaly outclass him,he was talking about how he would win any middleweight supermiddleweight and light heavy, after that performance i think he wouldent,he looked sloppy and kept jumping in to punches and getting clipped more then often, maybe the age is finaly getting to him?

he wasn't anywhere near as dirty as HATTON!
furthermore, you guys don't have an idea about boxing..................headbutts are very common when an orthodox fighter fights a southpaw!!!..and yes, Beyer is a southpaw also!!
Bika is a top fighter and at 27 has a future in the sport...remember his is a middleweight so he has done quite well thus far!!!
UMMM STFU dont start telling people what they DO and DONT have an idea about ... There is a big difference between ACIDENTAL and BLATANT headbutting.. Guess which one BIKA was doing all night?????

Bika is far more dirty than Hatton. Bika's main tactic seemed to be throwing his head forward and leaning on. Even dirtier than Matt Skelton.
Not that he doesn't have a future though.
He was indeed very dirty. Calzaghe gave back just as good in the later rounds though.
