Chico made a point to put down Aiken for agreeing to quit on his stool. So he doesn't want to go the same route as Leavander Johnson - he hadn't yet won a round, there's no shame in the eight rounds of effort he gave. Shame on Corrales for insulting a guy for making a reasonable safety decision.
I don't think Aiken was in danger of dying, first of all. Corrales is the definition of "warrior". He's been knocked down many times, and only failed to beat the count one time, by a split second at that. Diego wasn't trying to put Aiken on blast. That's just the way he looks at it. He's not a play by play announcer or a color commentator. He's a warrior, and that's what you would expect to hear from a warrior's mouth. I don't think he was being too hard on Aiken at all. Aiken was a world champion, and if I had a belt, I'd go out swingin' for the fences. Will Eric Aiken ever hold a major belt again? I doubt it. Corrales will continue to fight huge fights for a few more years. So I think you all are being too hard on Chico, if anything. He was asked to come by the announce booth to promote next month's fight, and he gave his opinion... that's all it was.
I felt his pain. He got hit low flush at least 4 times and didnt get any rest. There should have been a two point swing. He shouldnt have lost a point for holding and he should have gotten one from low blows.
You guys forget the trend that happened due to Koysta Tszyu quiting.....in the following three live on tv, boxing shows one boxer on each boxing show quit on his stool after Tszyu quiting on his stool against Hatton.
To many great fighters died in the ring with true blood and guts, for a fighter to quiet on the stool.....again i blame Aikens corner for not having the balls to stop the fight, instead asking their fighter if he wanted to continue very wrong of a corner to ask a fighter if he wants to quit, either the corner stops the fight or you tell your fighter he needs a knock out.

Aiken made a rational decision -- there is no way he could have won the fight, but he could have gone LJ's way.
Diego is a bit stupid.
Corrales is a warrior, Aiken is a warrior so Corrales is disappointed the way his fellow warrior went out on the stool.
Aikens corner should have stopped the fight and not have asked Aiken if he wanted the fight stopped.
If you lose, "its better to go out on your shield" - Corrales. And i totally aggree with Corrales.
