Why Didnt Gatti Throw More!?!?

Gatti threw quite a bit but his left hook kept missing by miles. His jab is pretty much just a pawing jab and when he does throw the jab it lands mostly on glove. Gatti is one of my favorites but one thing i dont like is his stance. I think he's too low to the ground his left sticks out to far like he's finding the range? After his peformance last night I think it's clearly clear that he needs to retire.

Baldomir was way too big for Gatti. Gatti was overwhelmed by Baldomir's size. Baldomir will be very difficult to KO at welterweight. In order to beat him at 147 you will need to box circle's around him and stay away from his power. Something only PBF may be capable of doing at that weight.

Gatti was being countered too easily to be able to throw more. Throwing punches was costing him. Baldy is an enigma though. He does not do anything in an outstanding fashion, he just does not make mistakes. He knows he does not have the greatest skills but makes the best of them by making shure he does not expose himself. I thought he was just a journeyman who got lucky, after last night, I honestly think that he may be able to have a shot against Mayweather. Mayweather is a master at taking advantage of his opponent's mistakes, but what happens when the fighter he is facing does not make any?

He should've went to the body more. lol have you noticed that every single one of Buddy McGirts fighters will never go to the body even though he tells them to all night.

Baldy had the right distance throughout the whole fight. Gatti was trying to find a way to get in and he did at times. He would land some clean hooks and combos but Baldy would come back with his own missles. Gatti could not back this guy up for shit.

Most exchanges always came out to be in baldy's favor. Baldy would hit him in the face, Gatti would counter, but then Baldy would counter that and hit him again then back out. Thats a 2:1 hit ratio. Baldy would also dodge Gatti's counters a lot because he was quick to lean back away from a punch... Gatti tried to be a counter puncher this fight and failed miserably.

Too many people are saying Baldomir has 'no skills' but last night his timing was outstanding. He will never look smooth throwing combos but he picked his shots perfectly against Gatti and he was for the most part consistent. I think he slowed down for about one round (seven or eight?). I didn't like Gatti's body language, he looked confused about how and when to engage.

He was too busy eating leather to throw more! well said........its not as easy as from here.....he got owned bad and he couldn't do much more.......he was taken out in every aspect of the fight......

Gatti should have never stood in front of him, he thought he could just take that punishment that Baldomir would dish out, bad call

well he never threw his right hand, like not at all. he pretty much flicked his jab here and there, and threw the left hook mostly. whenever he was in close he would throw a 1-2 combo then wait for baldomir to hit him. i honestly thought baldomir would win, but i also thought gatti would put up a much better fight.
