one of cus d'matos ex fighters i think he is owner of gleesons gym now said that tyson could of punched a lot harder if cus had tyson doing weight training .
Shut up.
These threads are upped so people can laugh at you, not for you to say more dumb things.
Yeah, I'm suprised he was still quick even with all that power. I think some say after the 80's and the Douglas loss he became a headhunter and just fell apart.
His speed was part of the reason he hit so hard. Yeah thats kinda true he didnt go to the body nearly enough later on in his career. I rember sum1 saying it was Tysons body work was what set him apart
I bet Tyson did do weight training. Everyones got a barbell in their bedrooms and pump a bit dont they? Im sure Tyson had weights in his room when he was 5years old onwards.

Tyson had great power because he was a born puncher, Its been said punchers are born not made. His normaly Perfect technique didnt hurt either! He usually got his weight rite behind his punches, No arm punches from this man!

Tyson was nartrally strong but with training he became stronger Custmoa made him a KO artist.
I know Miranda power coming from the shit that happened in his life he used to work in construction when he was less than 16year old and was all alone in his childhood years.
It weird that on the Eastman fight Miranda didnt trash talk and all of a sudden he became a big time trash talker
Isnt Bert Cooper the one who knocked down Holyfield. He must have hit hard then, but when it comes to hard punchers his name dont normally crop up. I would think Tyson hit harder than him.
Tyson had very good technique, speed, good lean mass, and accuracy. He was not super heavy handed or strong for his size like Foreman, Baer, Liston, Shavers, or Samuel Peter were/are. These guys could hurt (not knock out but they could stun or stagger) people with arm punches whereas Tyson needed to incorporate his legs and hips like the rest of us to hurt someone. Tyson's strength was good but not great whereas these guys I just named were ridiculously strong for their size.
yo kid achilles . get this . according to mercer bert cooper was the hardest puncher he faced not tommy morrison and bert cooper knocked out lorenzo candy before tyson did . Candy said tyson was by far the hardest puncher he faced.
my mistake . it was lorenzo boyd.

Are you serious? Did you see the twist on Douglas neck? That shit was nasty I was surprised Douglas got up from that although that uppercut really quick and nobody expected it... Douglas was much more fresh than Tyson even though he got knocked down...
his neck did twist.
I'll take your word for it Versatile, you def. know what you're talking about when it comes to Tyson.
Still, that punch was an anomaly in Tyson's career. Usually Tyson needed to be set to throw punches and had to deliver them with perfect technique for them to be really effective. He threw arm punches vs. McBride and he couln't do anything to him, and McBride is not a durable guy. Foreman would take him out quick throwing similar punches to the ones Tyson hit him with.
Yes, Tyson benefited from leverage...Foreman really didn't need this, he is a freak...I laugh every time I see the punch he threw at Frazier when Frazier was trying to run away from George.
Somebody should of taught George how to throw with his whole body, that would of been something, but like I said before, it was the boxing Gods that prevented this.

naw i edited it. it was a dip. which equals leverage
