what (non self-absorbed) penalties do bs posters think castillo should receive? i believe a 1 year suspension and a reasonable fine is fair. castillo obviously showed regret for not being able to make weight but crucifying him for it is unneccessary. 1 year sounds about right. As far as the cotto fight that would pretty much guarantee that the fight happens @147,since cotto said hes moving up after this year.

the neveda state athletic commision are crooks, and i would be surprised if they fine him and suspend his, the nvsac are crooks in power and 250 thoudand dollars is way to much money, we arn't talking about basketball players here and castillo didn't fight, so how could they charge him that much money? doesn't make sense

They want to set an example for fighters who sign a weight contract and are unwilling or unable to make that weight. Yeah, I agree. I hope he gets banned for life. Probably not, we will have to wait for the results of the boxing commision's inquiry. He might get his license suspended for quite sometimes. :) I'd rather see him go in with someone that isn't handicapped(weight drained when he isn't) and see him get KTFO. He used to be my favorite fighter...:(
