Barrera or Juarez?

I honestly feel that Barrera is on the way down, and Rocky is on the way up. I give Rocky this one, by late stoppage or UD.

I dont' want to point out his faults or when i noticed that he was too left hook happy but i think the lose did rocky good, yes, the raheem fight should have been his wake up but many felt rocky deserved the win, and then as you mentioned he goes and ko's with one punch guty and ramierez, as he did was diaz and a few others. but if in fact you did follow rocky from the start, from the olympics to his fight with soto then you will aggree that he stoped punching in combinations and always seemed to look for th left hook. as he was coming up, as in the amatures, he would throw nice combination down and up, up and down this is what caught my attenion. and as you know, rocky at time fights to the level of his opponets now with barrera, well, as i've said this is going to be a war. oh, and his fight with soto was a lot closer then people are giving rocky credit for.Like I posted, I took notice of Rocky along with Ricky Williams late 2001. Exactly I think that it shocked him into reality, that he can't just really on that left and that he needs to combo it up more. Thats why I think Rocky can will win......that and my belief that MAB is not the old MAB.

Back in 2001-2002, I was eyeing from a distance but with great interest the progress of two fighters: Ricardo Williams, Jr.and Rocky Juarez. Ricky was dispatching the likes of Damien Guerra, Rodney Jones, Mark Adams, Terron Millet and Anthony Washington while Rocky took care, rather quickly, of Corey Alarcon, Javier Ortiz, Ivan Alvarez and Hector Acero Sanchez. Then, in 2003, a suddenly listless Ricky met Juan Valenzuela, lost then stayed away from the ring for some 9 months. I concentrated on Rocky and watched delightedly as Jason Perez, Frankie Archuleta and Antonio Diaz tumbled in front of Rocky, one after the other. I watched with a knowing smile David Murillo go in 26 seconds flat. I was so much into Rocky that I barely noticed that Ricky lost again (to Manning Galloway, SD) as I focused on Rocky going through Hector Velasquez and Joe Morales. Rocky will always have the puncher's chance. But it shall take much more than that to beat a Barrera. Morales, Pacquiao and Jones showed that one has to be quick with the hands to do that. Is Rocky quick enough? Can he tee off, at all? Also, the three showed that you have to fight Marco from angles. Pac and Jones were quick enough on their feet to get those angles. Erik? Well, he's Erik. Can Rocky find the angles without being Erik or without the quickness of Pac and Jones? On the other hand, is MAB really still THE MAB? After the last Morales fight, it's tough to say: he has not faced anyone who was really able to test him. How much, if any, has Morales taken out of MAB in spite of having lost? Well I'm willing to bet on Juarez, he is the underdog and I'm not sure what the money line is but I think 4/3 odds is fair. Any takers? I'll bet a million on Rocky. Please not that I think Barrera is a great fighter but that he is on the downslope and prime for a young, powerful fast paced fighter, Barrera will have his best rounds in 2-5 but then fade. I see shadows of Tzu vs Hatton in that the older great just wont have the gas tank, to old and to many wars.

I see this fight as being pretty close, but any sane man has to favor Barrera. It should be a slugfest. The years of wars on Barrera is a totally legit downside, and a guy like Rocky is the perfect foil to bring that wear and tear to the surface. Still, I see Barrera gutting it out the most and giving Juarez hell.

Juarez will get his ass whooped in this fight, which might be a good indicator of how well Barrera can do in a Pacquiao rematch. Juarez is a big puncher, so we'll see if Barrera boxes him or brawls.

I hope Barrera schools Rocky. To me, he's a young gun that relies more on his power while less on technique. I don't see him improving all that much upon each fight and rather staying as is. I hope Barrera schools him so he could add some new dimensions and see that he's taking on more than he can chew. Barrera is a legend and I hope he can show us why on Saturday. Rooting for Barrera by KO though more than likely he'll take a UD.

I like Barrera on this one. Don't get me wrong Rocky ain't no chump...I feel that Barrera is going to box,but Rocky will pressure him.Eventually,Barrera will have to go to war with him...That can set up a fight of the year...if it goes past 8 rds!

barrera will win this, but he won't last forever and a year from now it would be a different result, but for now marco is still class enough for juarez and could even stop him.

MAB IS STILL GREAT, but anything can happen in boxing and Rocky is a LIVE UNDERDOG.. anyway I will STILL go for MAB by UD or late rounds KO/TKO ...
