Hear a lot of talk about who should fight who. Take this into account
FACT - Oscar has only one fight left in him
FACT - Hatton and Margurito are gunning for PBF, PBF currently is the Man
FACT - PBF is a bigger name draw in the US than Hatton and Margurito, Oscar aint going to England to fight, forget that
FACT - PBF DESERVES at this point in time the Oscar fight more than Hatton or Margurito
FACT - Once Oscar has retired, there's plenty of time in the next 1-2 years for both Hatten and Margurito to get their shots at PBF, if they are smart, they will spend the next year building themselves up more so they are worth more when their time comes.
FACT - If Oscar does fight PBF in September, we will almost definitely NEVER see the fight, whereas there is still plenty of time to see PBF fight other opponents
FACT - the Casual Sporting public wants to see PBF v DLH. Sure more hardcore boxing fans may want other matchups, but it is the casual boxing fans who make the difference between a decent amount of PPV buys and a huge amount of PPV buys
Now we have PBF saying he wants the fight, it doesn't sound like Floyd Snr will be as big an obstacle as expected, i reckon we are ready to rock n roll ! If they are smart, they will announce the fight by the end of May and allow over 3 months of solid hype.
the second castillo fight was a lot closer then when i remembered it after seeing the fight after a few years.
you know what is going to happen when all is said and done, and espn show old fights of mayweather and they show the chavez fight and both castillo fights people are going to say mayweather got three gift decisions, well at least 2 for sure.
chavez corner didn't stop the fight
mayweather has a million excuses, most fighters do when they don't look good
no he got no gift decisions if castillo made it close enough to go either way thats his fault and the 2nd fight wasn't even close and chavez corner did stop the fight fool
How can PBF be more deserving of getting a crack at DLH than Winky?
Somebody explain this crap.
I'll tell y'all this right now, If Winky wins against JT there's no way in hell De La Joto will take Winky on @ 154lbs.
If Winky gets beat bad by JT you bet your @ss De La Manufactured will be on the Winky bus faster than anyone can say... Send 'em all back!
Again DelaJoto has been sh*t in his big fights.
Hops(faked that he was hurt and ripped-off his beloved Mexican fans), Mosley(got his @ss handed to him in the first fight, only took the rematch after Mosley got ktfo against Forrest), Whitaker(couldn't beat a former all-time great), & Trinidad(ran like @ b*tch, and wouldn't even bother w/ a rematch until Hops ko'd Trinidad)
Winky Wright(he don't even want none of it)
Please don't even bring up the Vargas's, Quartey's, and Carr's
All 3 are way below the level of Hoya and the 3 I just mentioned.
They were all expected to get their @sses handed to 'em
Should I even get any lower, such as Leija, Molina,etc.. some or all these fighters held belts at one point, but far from being world-class athletes.
fuck winky, he going to get his ass kicked by jermaine taylor
chavez was not leading the fight if he was his corner wouldn't have stop from the total damage of the fight.... and mayweather beat castillo twice if im correct you can't change the record books he was hurt the first fight and i give castillo props for making it close but mayweather at 100% didn't leave any doubters

so true harold letterman also had chavez leading in the fight
lets also not forget Castillo v. Mayweather were casitllo got robbed and the second fight before people bring this fight up was also a close fight with maryweather on his bicycle all night

haha. I don't know if this has been pointed out yet, but upon reading the first post in this thread... every one of your "facts" is an opinion.
your fukin dumb dawg he did NOT land a lot of low blows and he DID rock the shit outta chavez, back pedaling yes holding no whitaker is a boxer whats he supposed to do try to fight out of his gameplan your mad cuz whitaker fukin schooled chavez .....i owned myself wut the fuk is this middle school?
do yourself a favor and watch the fight again, whitikier was forced to hit chavez low or get his ass kicked by chavez, whitiker hitting chavez low was the only way he was going to slow down chavez and he knew this
Whitaker beat the great Chavez that night and there is no way around that, that was one of the worst robberies. I don't think it was because of a low blow either, Penell's style frustrated him like many others he faced and he's fortunate he got that draw.
you just owned yourself, and yes, whitiker did land a lot of low blows and never did he rock chavez, shit in the 12 round he was back pedaling and holding chavez, what kind of shit was that!?

Chavez was not above doing those same things, intentional headbutts, low blows, rabbit punching. Ive seen enough of Chavez in my years to know. Its been about 6 years, but i guess im gonna have to look at the fight again to remember exactly how it panned out, but i know for a fact its not the exaggeration your making it out to be when it comes to low blows. If it was, he would have been DQ'd, especially against Chavez.
Regardless, Chavez wasnt a pussy.
when and if, you decide to watch chavez v. whitiker again, from the begining count the low blows delivered by whitiker to chavez
I know i was talking about mexican boxing, and your lying if you sit there and say that the generalization i made wasnt fairly accurate no matter how you look at it. If it wasnt, why is it that you can count on one hand the amount of slick mexican (from mexico) boxers in the last 15 years? A few exceptions doesnt move the status quo.
maybe so, but their are more boxers coming from mexico in the style of ricardo lopez, miguel canto, slick boxers, mexico will probably always breed the brawler fighter, the inside, body puncher but their is more slick boxers now then their probably was then.
you weren't talking about latino boxing what ever the fuck that is, you were talking about Mexican boxing, learn up on miguel canto

we always hear that low blows drain a fighters condition and so on....what is chavez the exception? just cause many, many people wanted to see chavez lose it doesn't take away the fact that whititler used a dirty tactic to defeat chavez!

....Who is talking shit about mexican boxing? I pointed out the style of fighting that is bred there. Everytime i say something minor or negative about Latino boxing, you throw a fit, which tells me that your basically gonna ignore any logic in my point, and turn it around into a unessecary history lesson on who did what at what point in time. If i didint know what i was talking about, it would be a bit more obvious to other users other than yourself.
None of those guys you mentioned are slick fighters, none of those guys are similar to Whitaker/Mayweather Jr, which is what i mean by punching and getting out of the way.
I am not down talking mexican boxing.

make sense or not
its still opinion
it can be disproved by other shit that will also make sense
I agree, however, it would be a tough act to follow breaking up those opinions.
