Pick any fighter in the history of boxing to the present of boxing who fought at 154lbs and below...meaning they NEVER fought above 154lbs
and pit that fighter vs a prime, on his best night Sugar Ray Robinson at welterweight...
if your fighter beats Robinson, you'd get the 10ks....but if your fighters loses, you are 10k in debt and making $300 monthly payments for a few years...
draw? no one gets anything as if the offer never happened...
remember, 101-154lbs, any fighter from past and present to face Robinson at 147lbs on both of their best nights (even give examples)
true didnt think of him ,but i don't think he would win either
I think floyd is too quick and his defense is too good for him to get knocked out. Id sure as hell pay to watch that fight.
I'd pick Boozo. As soon as he stepped into the ring Robby would start laughin' and wouldn't be able to stop. The ref would have to DQ Robby before the fight ever started for being unfit for ring instructions!
I should have clarified...I didn't mean anyone from 101-154 P4P...I was just picking that range in case maybe there was a fighter I don't know about that maybe began at 126 and ended up moving up and doing well at 147...
I guess I should just say from 130-154
i got you i dont see anyone outside of middleweight having a chance it takes a Jones,Toney someone like that to beat him or one hell of a slugger with one hell of a chin

we'll probably never see another great fighter as was the great sugar ray robinson
Well, damn. Alright. If I had to pick someone, it would one of two men. Either Roberto Duran, who someone else has already suggested..or....Aaron Pryor, with preferences on Duran; but they're both tough, fast, smart, and determined S.O.B.'s.
Anyhoo, I'm out. Peace.

Ha, Ha! Hell No!! My Balls ain't that Big! :D
His length and power would be key in keeping Robinson off of him. I don't think he was defensively sound enough to avoid Rays punches all night so he'd have to use an effective jab to keep some distance.
Thomas Hearns...simply based on his physical attributes and natural gifts. He would have needed some good cornerwork though...so that he didn't get caught up in a slugfest with Ray.
I think Hearns would have the best shot at outboxing Robinson. Nobody is stopping Ray so that one is factored out. Hearns had the long, hard jab...the power in the right hand and left hook, the handspeed, the nautral boxing ability, etc. You never saw Hearns being outboxed when he was up on his toes throwing the jab with rights behind it.
Anyway, I don't know if HEarns' chin carries him the whole way (it was much better at 147/154 though), but he'd have the best shot in my opinion.
