First of all, calm down, it's not final yet. But according to Dan Rafael from ESPN, here is his description of Barrera.
Marco Antonio Barrera (61-4)
Opportunity to fight for a title in his fourth division was put on hold when titlist Jesus Chavez badly injured his left arm and had to back out of their March 25 fight. Now, Barrera will take Pacquiao's vacated HBO date and perhaps face Rocky Juarez.
Next: May 20 vs. TBA
he is not good, he is just look good to Class C fighters.
Yeah right.I guess you can feel about him however you want in the Zahir Raheem fight, but he was the only one to ever make Raheem look bad.
Soto fight showed that Rocky will have to have a higher workrate, because of his size. But he is anything but a C class fighter.

tsk tsk, too bad, i wanted to see PAC-MAB 2 in May...
imho MAB will take this one, either by late round stoppage or UD, rocky has a puncher's chance for an upset but i think that will be a stretch...
I hope this fight happens. Juarez has gotten kos since his lose to Soto. Rocky feel in love with his power, epecially with his left hook in the Soto fight.
I think this is a dangerous fight for Barrera. If the fght does happen I think Barrera would have to stay on the outside, but I doubt that happens. I think if this fight takes place this fight turns into a war, and I'd favor Rocky in this one, he showed in the fight with Soto he still carries his power into the late rounds. And if this fight take place at 130, which I think it will, this is going to benifit Juarez - who has struggled to make 126.
this is too bad for Juarez's promising career. He is not ready for a fight like this. :D
Maybe.I give Juarez a decent chance. It will be intresting to see what weight this fight happens at though.
Olympics
I disagree as those Olympics were more than six years ago.
Floyd Patterson, Roy Jones, Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Jermain Taylor, George Foreman, Oscar DelaHoya, and Ray Leonard did it-why not Rocky??
JS
Juarez looked good for a while, but he was eventually exposed, and I think Barrera would dominate the entire fight for an easy decision. I wouldn't mind seeing it, though.
i agree, he'd get his ears boxed off by barrera, but that left hook of his is dynamite, would be a good fight to see
When was he exposed? What fight? the soto fight was pretty good and he showed alot of heart.
They were billing him as the next superstar going into that fight, which he was supposed to win. At the end of the fight, he looked like an above average fighter, but nothing that special. I didn't question his heart... he lost to a guy that wasn't supposed to be a big-time threat. He got exposed because he went from a future star to an above average boxer. He may become a world champ one day, but that fight lead me to believe that he was overrated and overhyped.

what weight do u think this is gonna be at? 126 or 130? I think MAB wins either way but it will be tougher at 126 cuz Juarez is explosive at that weight.
Juarez as tune-up, LOL :D
Hope MAB learned something from Erik's last 'tune-up' fight :D
What, you think Juarez has a snowball chance in hell at beating MAB???
OK
