This was Jeff Lacy's first official knockdown in his entire professional career, which occurred last night in the 12th round. Legit or not?

I don't think it was a knockdown, but it's very, very insignificant. He lost the knockdown point because of a picky foul point, anyway...
The only significance was that it was the first KD of Lacy's career, and the way he bought that left uppercut out of the floor and landed it straight on the money shows that the punch lead to the KD not the push... but people simply wont see that... I think the results speak for themselves anyway.
It was a push, idiot.
You're a wounded little girl.
He was hurt, and had no legs. That's why he went down. It was a number of shots that happened just before that.
It is extremely pathetic how you talk about Klichko in Lacy-Calzage thread.
And how it would upset you and cause you to react to it.
Such a predictable loser.
OK well Lacy would have not just fallen if Joe stayed away from him rather than charging in and nudging him with his knee.
Raesaad let me ask you this...
1) Joe walks up to Jeff -- "knee pushes" him -- does he fall down?
2) Joe walks up to Jeff -- uppercuts him and then "knee pushes" him -- does he fall down?
Why where they bad comparisons ... there are loads of instances outside of those 3 also... it happens all the time. I can think of a couple of Naz fights where the opponent is going down, but takes ages to because he is stumbling around the ring trying to get his balance, but in the end just falls...

Bad comparisons.........look he went down who cares. It was clearly more from exhaustion and the knee nudge than Calzaghes punch but either way he went down and thats how the ref ruled it.

Larry Holmes - Tyson.
Brannon - Jones.
Morales did it against Pac Man also... he was going down and held onto the ropes... technically that was a KD but the ref didnt call it, so it wasnt deducted from the scorecards officially.

take a look at how jeff tries to catch himself on the way down. when have you seen a fighter getting knocked down from a punch with his equalibrium all fucked up try to catch himself and regain balance before going down?

Larry Holmes - Tyson.
Griffin - Jones II.

take a look at jeff's body movement after he falls down, he immediately gets up coordinated..the KD was more from the push than the punch, trust me.
No. Take a look at the legs of Lacy and the position his body in, the split second the punch lands. He is off balance, tired from the rest of the fight, and just before this he was holding on like his life depended on it... the man was gone, the punch lead to the KD, not the push... the push had less force than the punch...
Let me put it this way. If Joe just walked up to him and pushed him the way he did, he wouldnt have gone down. Clearly the punch made all the difference, there really isnt any excuse... the point deduction in the 11th was generous to say the least also.
doesnt matter at all
You are right.........but for the record IF it was a close fight and Joe ended up winning based on that KD I would be extremely pissed off because it was questionable no matter what anyone on here says.
Yes it was legit. Lacy wend down from some pushing contact, but it happened because he was rocked and had no legs. Definit knock down.
It's just like the clowns who dispute Peter's knock downs of Wlad.
In both cases, the fighter going down went down because they were hurt and had no legs.
It was a push, idiot.
People are saying this isnt legit?
Fuck me, wake up. A left uppercut followed by a slight push from the momentum that Joe had behind the punch. Are you telling me he would have been standing up had Joe not nudged him down on his way?
Whatever....
