what would happen in these two fights?
Naseem Hamed vs. Erik Morales
Naseem Hamed vs. Manny Pacquiao
personally, i think hamed would lose both.
what do you think?
Hamed wins both...in this thread if a fighter has a cult following like Pac - people think he cant lose to anyone. Hamed wud definitely beat him.
Hamed being trained by ingle wud prob beat morales to.
Pretty predictable direction of thread... Pac and Morales nut huggers (to coin a phrase) fall over themselves to slag off Naz, largely based on one fight.
I was actually thinking more of the Hamed who dominated and KOed Tom Johnson. Or the one who went to war with Kevin Kelley.
Either way, I see Hamed beating PAcquiao and losing to Morales.
Pacquiao does not have a better chin than Hamed. Hamed tasted the canvas a few times, but it was largely due to his awkward style and balance issues. He could take a shot with the best of them. Everytime he was decked he pop right back up.
Naseem is an overhyped clown. He met the only one elite fighter in Barrera and what happened, he folded and lost all motivation for boxing. He avoided Louie, he sure hid from JMM...Guy never had my respect.
Against EM, its an easy UD.Morales has a granite chin and great boxing skills. If he decides to box and not let machismo take over, its going to be a lopsided unanimous decision.Maybe even a shutout!
Agains PAC,thats going to be more interesting.Alot of people say PAC is perfect for him, but guess what, the Prince is perfect for PAC too!Lets compare the 2:
POWER:PRINCE
Naseem has power in both hands, while PAC has the hardest hitting left hand P4P in boxing today.Hard to judge, but i give slight edge to Hamed because of his 2-fisted knockout capability.
SPEED:PAC.
PacMan is one of the fastest fighters in the land. Not only in daring in and out, but also the most lethal one-two combinations that his opponents dont always see coming.Easy edge for PAC.
CHIN:PAC
Both PAC and Naseem has tasted the canvass a few times in their career. But since PAC has been with Roach, his conditioning has been superb and not Ledwaba,MAB,JMM, or EM was able to put down Manny.Again, easy edge for Manny.
HEART:PAC
Here is probably Manny's biggest edge.Pac fears no one, will fight anybody anywhere. The more his dangerous his opponent is, the more he gets fired up!Had 3 losses in his career, but came back each time as a more complete fighter.Sadly, not the same can be said for Naseem.I feel once he feels PACMANS power, he is going to realize and feel that the guy in front of him is out to destroy him and totally demoralize the poor Prince.
So to conclude, its gonna be a very exciting first few rounds, with probably some showboating happening, but once the Prince feels a PACMAN left, he losses fighting heart goes to surivival mode(ala wrestling mode with MAB).Final result, middle to late round KO for PAC.
Fella I just don't know.
It's very hard to predict what Naseem would have done because he changed (for the worse) throughout his career.
I would have thought that Hamed would have beaten both Morales and Pacquiao, but I'll have to say that both Morales and Pacquiao would beat Naseem because the are a lot more professional in their attitudes towards the sport.
If that makes sense???
IMHO, that's makes a lot of sense, but would disagree that in anyway Hamed can beat Erik, maybe against PAC he will be competitive, but IMHO Prime PAC will beat Prime Hamed 2 out 3 ...
Morales is more solid than Pacquiao....wouldn't be as vulnerable to Hamed's sneaky power shots. He'd control Hamed over 12. He has the chin to stand up to Naseem...& the kind of right hand that would work well against him.
Pacquiao has more of a chance to take the Prince out....but would be susceptible to the big punch- that's a toss-up.
Hamed was a very good fighter, one of the best ever at featherweight. When Hamed went to the gym, run and did all the other things a fighter needs to do to get in shape he'd be very hard to beat.
I prefer both Morales and Pacquiao to Hamed but i wouldnt be suprised if he beat both, maybe even KO them. I think too many people read into the Barrera loss too much, Hamed wasnt in any condititon to fight that night and IMO prime Naz would have butchered Barrera.
:D runmour has it JC is signign Hamed up for his comeback fight.
it will be his toughest opponent for five years  :D
I'll tell you what mate, I'm getting fucking sick of your Calzaghe nuthugging :D
Hamed at his absolute best would run Morales close but I'd say EM sneaks it more times than not. I think he'd stop Pac within 9 after hitting the canvas a couple of times himself.
Hamed loses to morales beats pac, one of those style things, in the same way Pac beat MAB but lost ot Eric.
I agree completely. Pacquiao's style plays right into Naseems hands. Both guys hit the deck in a slugfest, Naseems superior power and bizarre angles surprise Pacquiao however and he doesn't beat the count the second time.
Erik would box Hameds ears off. Nothing that Hamed hits Erik with affects him...Morales UD Hamed 116-112.

prince retires so early and comes back late.
he's too late..hes goin down..
Man this naseem should have never retired! he cared more about stats then fights! every fighter loses its how you come back from that loss which makes you a champion.
Naseem vs Pacquiao would have been the highest ever featherweight bout if it happend.
Well now he certainly loses both I don't know about 5 years ago...

Hamed was washed up at the age of 27. Come on now J!
YES HE WAS, THE FAME THE FORTUNE RUINED HIM
his wanker of a brother Riath taking over his affairs the accrimonous split from life long trianer an dfather figure Bendan Ingle.......sound familair to a certian heavyweight you may know? it can happen mate.
theres a documentary on the prince in the run up to the MAB fight, he wa more interested in who was cutting his hair than what he was gonna do in the ring.
you should get a copy if you can.
pacman will have a diffulty with hamed style. i agree with J. if morales n marquez counters pacman.so as hamed which i think is much better on counter punches.
as for morales.i think will be a UD for morales.
guys we arer talking prime hjere, not the washed up unfocussed fighter that lost to barerra (taking nothign away form marco) but the guy that basically held 3 versions of the title at varygin stages, you realyl shouldnt judge hamed on one fight.
Hamed was at his best as an uinorthodox counter puncher, when with brendan ingle, Pacs style is made for Hamed at his peak.
