I don't like it when fighters try copy shit from other fighters, like when Naseem Hamed first turned pro and came out to the ring with the same promoter as Chris Eubank, the same assistant trainer as Chris Eubank, the same boots as Chris Eubank, the exact same leap over the ropes as Chris Eubank and the same posturing as Chris Eubank.
There is a new kid on the block here in Britain called Darren McDermott who has recently won the British Midlands Area title, he's a Middleweight. He came out to Nigel Benn's former ring entry reggae tune 'I Am Dangerous' and he has chosen the nickname 'The Black Country Body Snatcher' (Birmingham/West Midlands is called the Black Country) like Mike McCallum's nickname 'The Body Snatcher'. Pisses me off abit.
Well I guess you can think of it that way. I think its great that younger fighters honor past fighters by referecing or copying some of their ways. Keeps the old fighters legend alive.
I'm with enadeus on this one and I quite liked his nickname.
