Gatti is back/click here
Gatti will be back in action on January 28, 2006 at the Boardwalk Hall. I cant wait. one more time...again. The hiatus is back off baby. Hopefully they put Litzau on the undercard.
i love gatti to death, but he needs to put some quality wins over quality opponents before he retires.
the quality opponents hes faced are:
Angel Manfredy TKO by 8
Ivan Robinson L UD and L SD
Oscar De La Hoya TKO by 5
Mickey Ward L MD, W UD, W UD
Jesse James Leija KO 5
Floyd Mayweather TKO by 6
hes fought some good fighters, but hes beaten only ward and leija.
i dont care how unskilled you say gatti is, hes still one of the most exciting fighters in history.
as for the damgaard fight:
Gatti by mid round TKO.
Won`t happen, that Damagard guy, he is real slick, southpaw excellent boxer and one of the best chins in boxing. He won`t stop Gatti, sure he`ll win almost every round like he always does but i don`t think he can stop Gatti, but yeah, he`ll do what he normally does, fast reflex, not mixing it up and trippe jabs and movement, Gatti`s camp surely only want a pay day!
Shame on Damagard or however you speel it, he should be fighting better guys than this, i guess one shot fighter is ok as long as he steps up the comp level soon!
The last couple of years Damgaard have not been that impressive and i think he should have stepped it up a couple of years ago. But it is nice to see him taking some tougher opposition and taking a chance in America. If Damgaard gives a performance like he used to do then this fight could really turn into a war since Damgaard can match Gatti for physique, has a good chin and can both box and brawl.
I like Damgaard so my biased guess would be Damgaard by TKO 10
could he outbox his next opponent.
his performance vs pbf isn't that good though.
Well, looks like he's fighting a nobody, it's the next guy you have to worry about (although he could be a nobody, too).
Montreal, best city in the world. Okay, not quite, but I miss living there quite a bit sometimes.
Good for Gatti, as long as he doesn't hurt himself too much.

Hopefully he can come back and put a W on his record before he retires. Gatti shopws tremendous heart in the ring so who knows, maby he can win a belt.

I wanna see Gatti vs. Tyson. That way, Gatti can finally retire after taking a bad beating and Tyson can finally win one of his ridiculous comeback fights.
There can't be too many fights left in Gatti. I'd love to see him go out with a win. I'm sure any fight at 147 will be tough for him though. He will not win any titles at 147, but there's potential that he could give us one more fight of the year, for old times sake.
