Hatton is a pretty good boxer but not great. His swarming style and dirty tactics might overwhelm a lot of better fighters but not PBF who has speed and laser sharp accurate punching and scorching counter combos. Hatton has an average power and marginal defense. Aged Phillips shook him and even Magee knock him down . Hatton showed his boxing skills when he fought Tackie but that boxing skills is B - at best. What separated Hagler from anybody on his era was he did not duck nobody. And after Hatto duck PBF TWICE. The British obviously; they have overated this guy to Ray Mancini levels, and have gotten me to the point where I actually WILL cheer for PBF when he eventually fights Hatton.. I hate PBF!!! While I agree Hatton is overrated I still like him. I think PBF would beat him if they faced, regardless of whether it's in Britain or in the US. I'd like to see Hatton fight another top fighter before PBF, but I could deal if they went at it.
