WBC Orders Samuel Peter/Sinan Samil Sam
By Andre Courtemanche
Promoter Dino Duva says he is ecstatic to announce the WBC has ordered a box-off between its highest-rated available contenders, #4 Samuel “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter, 24-0 (21), and #3 Sinan Samil Sam, 24-2 (15) to determine it’s new #1 contender. “We’re very happy about the WBC’s decision to recognize Samuel as a candidate for their top spot in the ratings,” exclaimed Duva. While he is overjoyed at the opportunity, Duva says that Team Peter must go to work on defeating their next, and perhaps most formidable, foe to date. “Sinan Samil Sam is no walk in the park. A victory over him will be a big feather in Samuel’s cap. He’s a tough guy, probably the toughest opponent yet for Samuel, as far as ability and credibility. He deserves to be here too, and we're looking forward to a tremendous fight.” Manager Ivalyo Gotzev says that this box-off is also good news for fans of the heavyweight division. “The current status of heavyweight boxing right now is you have a bunch of attorney’s writing letters and filing lawsuits. There’s a lot of action outside the ring and not much inside it. The sooner we get Samuel in a position to sort everything out, the better for boxing. We’re going to do it the old-fashioned way, by knocking people’s heads off, less attorneys and more fighting.” “We have begun negotiations with Samil Sam’s promoter, Wilfried Sauerland, and we’re looking forward to fighting him, hopefully in the fall,” continued Duva.

Should be very interesting, I think it is a good test for Peter but he should walk through him fairly easy.
We will see what Peter is made of, hopefully he takes on a 5-10 rated contender before fighting for the championship.
as far as im concerned, peter is the champ if he crushes sam. i sure hope he unifies. god knows that the champs right now will duck him and he wont even get a title shot.
i cant understand how brock is not in the running... his win over mccline is more than anything peter and sam have done...
Um I think Brock is getting a fight with Klitschko the 24 th of september...
everyday talking about samuel peter in here and disregarding sinan samil sam......i ask you all 'have you guys ever watched sinan samil sam fight?' and if so 'how many times?'........
sinan samil sam is a turk and he has a granite chin.....not to much that his style is the style you need to beat samuel peter........he has a good defence and plods away and never rushes........
this is a very big step up for samuel peter and sinan samil sam will be very happy that all he has to do is beat samuel peter to get the #1 ranking.....
sinan samil sam will win by UD or late round knockout....
I would love to see Vitali vs. Peter at some point in the near future.
wlad or vitali know better than to enter the ring with that animal, bro.
peter is in a different class, it's simple. when he gets more experienced and has like, 3 elite world class bouts, he is going to be a baaaaaad motherfucker. could you imagine pissing that guy off on the street? rofl, thats one person i would seriously run from. no shit, id just get punked and run, better than losing a couple million brain cells from a bare fisted hook pushing over 1000 psi

Off topic. That pic in your sig is freak'n killing me. Those BK shorts always gave me the chills :boxing:
Did you see when Kevin Randleman slammed Fedor down, neck/headfirst......only to have Fedor get up & submit him ?
It was a sight to behold.
Fedor is almost inhuman....& can beat you in so many ways.
CroCop is an offensive machine, but I question his toughness.
Yeah I saw that...I thought that Fedors spine was going to be snapped in two. He's truly an inhuman monster.
I just always hear that CroCop is such an amazing striker and always has the chance to put you out with a good roundhouse or something.
Fedor vs Nogueira was crazy. Fedor just keep getting out of everything and beat Nogueira at his own craft. I think CroCop is the stronger striker of the two, especially with his kicks.
Cro Cop always has the chance to land one of those lethal kicks upstairs. What I've seen of Fedor though he looks unstoppable.

If Fedor can get CroCop on the ground its over for CroCop. BTW..... :hijacked:
The guy on the left is Russian so that might have gotten you confused. BUT, Vitali is Ukranian.

I thought the guy on the right is Vitali, and this has nothin to do with being russian or not, I thought the guy on the right was Quitali
ooooooo shit!
It looked like Quitali from far away, but now that you mention it, I can see it ain't him, but it looks like him LOL!

I agree but perhaps it is because he can box and punch and can get up from a knockdown.
He is the most complete package of a heavyweight in a long time, he can deal with diversity. I would run to.
