did you ever see the Tarver-Echols fight? he absolutely killed echols. Tarver never fought Echols professionally.

Watch Hopkins/Echols II at about 1:20 to go in the 8th round. Echols lands a huge right hook/uppercut that snaps Hopkins head back but Nard just keeps coming through it. Echols was probably the heaviest overall puncher at 160 at the time and Hopkins ate everything he threw at him. I guarantee that Taylor won't land 1 punch that'll hurt Hopkins or stun him to the point that Taylor will be able to finish him. If anything it'd be an accumulation of punches and a combination that would hurt him. You also forget that Hop has been around for a long time and knows the game inside out. You think he's gonna let Taylor finish him should Jermain hurt him? I think he'd hold on smartly as most savvy vets would do. Taylor is a good finisher but he's not great. He had Joppy legitimately hurt in their fight after the KD but didn't jump on the situation. I think Taylor wins by stoppage. I think Taylor will sooner or later land a punch that stuns Hopkins and he jumps all over him, causing a stoppage. I want Hopkins to win and I think he'll win by a close unanimous decision, 7-5 on all cards. There will be no KO's in this fight and anybody that thinks Taylor will KO Hop haven't watched Hopkins fight enough. He has an excellent chin and really doesn't get hit a lot. Well all I have to sat to that is Hopkins has never fought a physical specimen like Taylor ever.Plus I think people tend to forget hopkins is 40 years old now not exactly the fountain of youth.

Hopkins by UD in another boxing lesson...

Hopkins by UD in one of the most boring fights of recent memory...I love Hopkins but I think he will intimidate Taylor and stick to his careful style to win an easy decision. Taylor has shown nothing that would suggest he can beat Nard...I know people always say that about the young up and comer but even Hatton had fought stiffer competition than Taylor has...Hatton had also been down before...Taylor has not faced a serious challenge to date and my bet is that Nard mindfucks him thus cancelling out his superior physical abilities....with the way boxing has been lately though you never know...it'll be better than watching Mayweather beat Gatti's ass for 6 rounds, thats for sure
