Gatti at 147

haha I would rather seem him fight a bum then spend that much money again to see mayweather demolish him, leija v. gatti 2 anyone? jk I hope he fights at 147 again I'm just wondering how he thinks he can handle there.

Gatti blows up to like 160 in between fights. I don't think 147 is a stretch for him.

Gatti can easily carry 147. But, I think the top guys would be too much for him. But, he can still have a few good fights at 147. I'm a little worried he's been through too many tough fights already. Hopefully he comes out of it ok.

Gatti can't handle 147 and he said himself after losing to Delahoya. He said that the weight was too much for him to carry. Margarito and Judah would be too much for him.

Gatti could easily be Undisputed Welterweight Champion. The only reason I say "could" instead of "will" is because Judah will duck Gatti when gets to 147.

Gatti is shot, 147 would just be more punishment for him He is not shot. He just was never all that skilled. The fast guys mystify him. Mayweather DID hand him the worst beating he has ever taken.

Gatti was Tailor made for DLH......and people forget that actually was a bit competitive. If the ref didn't have his head up his ass, he could have credited Gatti with a knockdown of ODLH in round 4 I believe.

he might do ok if he fights for a vacant title...judah will be vacating them soon, so there could be a chance for gatti to fight for one of those.... don't watch the DLH vs Gatti if you want any encouragement though. DLH was pretty spectacular at 147 though. I think Gatti could beat a lot of guys at 147, but the top5 would be a stretch, and I think Judah would be out of the question.

nAH I don't think Gatti will be any good at 147.

He's going to have a tough time in any weight class now. He's got too much scar tissue around his eyes because of those cheek bones. Swelling won't let him get past six or seven rounds if he fights anyone with a decent jab. He could be winning and still get stopped because his eyes are swollen shut. I think at 147, where he's taking punches with a little more power, on average, he'd probably swell up even faster.
