“Eso yo lo comparó con cuando Tito Trinidad le dio como cinco oportunidades a (Oscar) de la Hoya para pelear. Calderón está usando el nombre de Dieppa para coger pon”, dijo el manejador de Dieppa.
This quote in Spanish by Dieppa's trainer in regards to a fight between Dieppa vs Ivan Calderon it translates to "I compare this to when Tito Trinidad offered a rematch to DHL like five times.." I am tired of hearing my fellow boxing fans how superior DLH is, specially how he beat Tito and that it was Tito who avoided rematch. What I remember is that Papa Trinidad offered a rematch immediately after the fight and DLH avoiding it. That's why I placed a question mark on the title. Did DLH avoided a rematch or was it Tito's camp.
What is a fact is that your givng the Boricua Organization a bad rap. Exciter, Moonra are reasonable fight fans with thier personal biased of course, but you are the John Ruiz of the forum... threads are the same monotinous theme, and you clutch to your "Tito" cruch.
Man I ain't even gonna sweat you, don't like my opinion then don't read it, I'm not going to argue with any kids.
Well OF COURSE boxers don't like being hit and they do it for the money!!!! BUT there are certain ways to present yourself and De La Hoya does not present himself the same way like he did in the past, he is a sell-out point blank. Ya know I can't make the De La Hoya nuthuggers change their opinion but come on you have to admit he's not the same boxer he was at the begininng he is all about money and yea good for him, but that makes him a pussy in my eyes, that's just my opinion so deal with it. He has NO WARRIOR in him and I don't care what anybody says cuz that's a fuckin FACT!!!!

Your a sellout the moment you make money doing what you do. Im sure DLH also is a sellout in terms of his PPV buys and how he fills up an arena. Is there really that much of a difference between Tito and DLH? I could sit here and say Tito is nothing short of a pussy for retiring, leaving the ring just because B-HOP knocked his ass clear out. But i dont think that, because i know people get discouraged and wanna get a break from it all.
I hate this "sellout" mentality. Oscar has to do whats best for Oscar, you arent him, and while your allowed to have an opinion of him, your not on his level in terms of how hard hes worked, and what hes accomplished inside and outside of boxing. Therefore you cant judge him on what he should and shouldnt be doing, or who he should and shouldnt be fighting. People develop other intrests, they move on from other things, he doesnt need to be fucking Sugar Ray Robinson.
He has NO WARRIOR in him and I don't care what anybody says cuz that's a fuckin FACT!!!!
Of course he does, it's just burried under a big pile of cash.
i know look at Tyson. he said "I hate this shit, people punching me in the face trying to kill me." If it wasnt for the money he wouldnt be fighting anymore

lol no i never clamied him
shit wtf u think he is
an insurance???
all im saying he cant be called a "mexican warrior"
because his style of figthing is not like that
he is more of a punch and run kind of fighter
now i am dissapointed with his promoting carrer
because i kno he made barrera fight fana just to keep his belt
now normal barrera would just not care about the belt
and fihgt the best opponent out there,
his style of fighting is punch and run? your acting like de la hoya is fucking chris byrd. he made MAB fight fana to keep the belt? how about he fought him to just get an easy victory over a hand picked mandatory. You dont know what happens behind the scenes of promoting, your speculating, illogically at that.
All those Mexican flags during Trinidad vs. Oscar, now he isnt Mexican  , you guys like to claim him, than unclaim him when shits bad.

fuck that all Oscar needs to do is keep making that dough.
all of us would be doing the same thing. we all protect our money and assets and asses the risk and value of doing something that could either potentially earn us more money, or less money. alot of these people have unrealistic expectations for men who are in there gettin the shit beat out of them for a living.

i garuntee you at his next fight, the flags will dawn again. To me, oscar is a mexican warrior, the last "real mexican" who ran his mouth to him got knocked the fuck out.
The biggest proof of DLH's lack of heart was the way he sold the biggest fight of his career and the way he ran in his 2nd biggest fight ever. Hopkins and Trinidad.
necesitan huevos
and i think DLH is more white than mexican now
doing all his promoting shit
and making barrera care more about his belts
than who he fihgts
Can't agree more, that's my beef w/De La Hoya he needs to remain focused for the fight not the CD's, clothing line, television appearences, and promoting. If you choose to fight then FIGHT! Who's your favorite Mexican fighter?
I agree 100% Necesitan CORAZON, pero ya De La Hoya no lo tiene.

welll now how does DLH classify as a mexican warrior
he doesnt fight like one.
he might be mexican of blood
but not a mexican fighter.

I like Mexican fighters not because the place of origin, but because the stereotype that they have nurtured of warriors, that don't avoid fighting with the best however many times necessary to show the world that they are best by not being afraid of the rest in addition to coming to fight not to dance. That's the kind of boxing I love.
