B-Hop / Taylor is on

This is a good fight; Taylor needs to take him on if he's to construct any legacy at MW, no real harm if he loses to the old master. I say he takes a close decision.

The Soundtraveler will be doing the ring announcing duties for most of this one! Who will be there, and who will be buying the PPV?! Since the word is out, I can now tell you that I will be working the entire undercard while Michael Buffer of course gets the main event, since he is contracted with HBO. Nonetheless, I am stoked at this fight being held at the FedX Arena in Memphis! My thanks to Prizefight Boxing for adding me to this event!

Actually, I think that Taylor is a bigger threat to Tito than Nard is right now.. But you know that Nard is better defensively and can take a better shot...and he's beat Tito before and has more ring experience. So why do you think Taylor is a bigger threat? I think Tito would unleash on Taylor.

Jermaine Taylor is a kid, this would be an easy fight for bernard hopkins..i dont blame bernard for picking because there is nobody left for him to fight...maybe if trinidad fights him again that would be interesting.

Taylor is gonna beat Nard and then will have Taylor taking on the winner of Wright/Trinidad on september..Then Nard can go to Boxeo de Oro and fight Tarver... :D :cool: :boxing: You just like Trinidads chances against Taylor more than you like them against Nard dont you? :D

I glad its gonna go down, for a while I thought Taylor was gonna wimp out. It should be a good fight but even with Taylors all-around ability I feel Hopkins will teach him a whole lot and outpoint him fairly easily. But even if (when) Taylor goes down this fight will help out his carrer in the long run.

That's not gonna happen. Hop is likely to run if Taylor preassures him. He needs to beat B-hop in his own game. Take it the whole 12 rounds. Hella hard but if he wants, hey why not. Agreed. BEAT HOPKINS TO THE PUNCH! His speed is going to have to offset Hopkins ring knowledge and craftiness.

Sad to say, Bernard would take this fight. As much as I wanted him to lose so he can f*ck up his legacy, he won't lose before he retires. Not even to a rematch with Trinidad. I'll be rooting for Taylor if this fight indeed happens but I know he ain't gonna get the win. Bernard doesn't give sh*t about the fans, only his winnings, his legacy and of course, the money. We won't see an exciting fight here, this'll be a counterpunching exercise. If you think Hopkins was cautious with Eastman, he'll be 10x more cautious with Taylor. I hope Taylor makes this an exciting fight, but if he does, he'll risk himself too much and he'll get knocked out.

lol Well, in my opinion, this is a winnable fight fo Taylor. Hopkins is past his prme (although still very good) and Taylor is active, fresh, strong, fast, and he has stamina. We'll see what happens but I definitely do no expect a stoppage victory for Hopkins.

I'm surprised,because all Taylor had to do was wait another year for Hopkins to retire to easily take over the middleweight crown.I see a dog fight,with Hopkins outsmarting and outlasting Taylor in the end....B-Hop by late round stoppage or easy decisions victory.

B-hop would school him unless he does his homework. I remember his comments after the Eastman fight, he took notes on the suttle things that B-Hop did like his right hand counter lunging back from the ropes. He needs to know B-Hop inside out to make up for his lack of experience.

Good point, but Hopkins HAS to get old one of these days, and that might happen in July, it all depends on how B-Hop will be affected by Taylor's power shots, if Bernard rolls & counters like usual, then he'll get the UD, if Taylor can find the mark, it'll be a classic fight and we may possibly have a new middleweight king (unlikely though)

I think Taylor needed another quality named fighter or 2 before facing Hopkins, but I won't count out Taylor just yet, he is a good boxer, but he needs to jab, jab, jab and quit backing straight up when he gets hit. He may be too busy for the slow starting Hopkins, but you never know....
