Komodo's spit has a nasty combination of Staph, E Coli, and numerous other very infectious bacteria. If they bite you, you'd better get to a hospital quick or you're fucked. The craziest part of it all is that after they bite their victims, they can smell the infection and festering rot...then they go hunt down their prey after they are already fucked over. :bigeyes:

I thought it was a good stop. However the ref during Hopkins was greener that fuck. He didn't see any of his 125 low blows.I missed about 120 myself.

It can't be denied that Taylor was dominating throughout his bout with Edouard, but I have a real problem with the stoppage. Edouard's beat known for coming back from the brink of defeat against Gibbs, and the ref, Ray Corona, stopped the fight the first time he got really hurt. Ok, so it's not likely that he would have upended Taylor, who was putting on a helluva show, but come on, that was poor officiating.I'd have liked to see him get more of a chance myself ... but he probably was gonna get the shit beat out of him. Disappointing.

My only question is why doesn't Taylor have a fight vs. Hopkins since it is kinda believed that Taylor is the best middleweight out there. I've heard that Hopkins could barely stand a chance against him and all Hopkins does is fight people like Eastman and Joppy. Fuckin middleweight chumpion.

I counted like 15 punches in a row before Eduord even tried to throw back once. Then i started my count over and got over 10 two more times. Props to Eduord for staying out there as long as he did. And props to the ref for the stoppage.

Glad to see most of you guys know what you're talking about, and can see the stoppage was good. For those that don't see this... The kid was in the corner, almost completely defenseless, taking huge, neck-cracking head shots, and not firing even a single punch back. Yes, he's tough, and can take a big-ass shot and stay on his feet, but that doesn't mean he isn't hurt badly. And if a ref were to allow abuse like that to continue would be criminally negligent. If the guy'd gone down, he'd have been better off, really. The punches would've stopped, and he'd have had a few seconds to try and clear his head. It didn't work out that way, though. The kid stayed up, kept taking shots, couldn't protect himself, couldn't fire back, and the ref stepped in when it was appropriate. It sucks, but better to have a +1 in your second column than to end the evening in a coma and spend the rest of your life with the smarts of your average garden-variety tomato, or die enroute to emergency surgery. And it's happened before. Benn/McClellan, anyone? And the ref of that fight comitted suicide within months of the fight, most agree it was due to feelings of guilt. Sure, McClellan was a total shitbag of a human being, but who's to say he wouldn't have turned his life around in another 6 months and spent the remainder of his years helping others? You never know, anyway.

I disagree with you. Edouard was in over his head, no way was he going to fight his way out of the 3rd round. Edouard has never fought somebody with the skills and power of Taylor. Did you see that one huge left that Taylor landed when Edouard got backed into the corner right before the stoppage? When your head looks like a ping pong ball bouncing all around your in no position to continue fighting. I agree with much of what you said and I also agree with ref's decision. I personally don't see it as bad officiating.
