Has anybody kept up with Mayweather's upcoming fight. He's been having all kinds of problems outside of the ring and is fighting a game light welter that, unlike Mayweather has always been a lightwelter. It is believed that Bruseles was training through Christmas and is very focused. Mayweather has not impressed me at his new weight class. He was visibly stunned by Corley and looked like he could've been kocked out anytime by a good shot that never came. I think Mayweather's face even looks a little puggy in the marketing pictures. I think he is out of shape and it is starting to smell like the first big upset of the year...
smells like lopided victory for floyd actually. brussles sprouts wont know what to do with floyd.
Lmao...i remember this thread and i remember this post.
2004 had been pockmarked with several upsets. This is the first fight of the current year featuring a marquee fighter. Will the upsets carry-over?
In this case, I doubt it. :)
I have 100,000 on PBF by KO/TKO; not much compared to the high rollers on this site but it's there. ;)
Floyd will be in great shape like always, and Corley stuned Floyd with one shot and he quickly recovered he dominated that fight quite easily. This kid Brussels is getting knocked out for sure.
If an upset was to happen, it would be the upset of the millenium. But I sincerely doubt that this tune up no hoper has any chance of upsetting Floyd Mayweather Jr. In fact, I'm willing to put up all 80,000,000 of my points on a Floyd Mayweather decision victory.
Everytime Mayweather fights nowadays folks predict an upset. It ONLY happened the first time with Jose LUis Castillo. Castillo is NOW the lightweight champ. Brusseles is nowhere near Floyd's level.
When fighters move up they are usually undersized in their first few matches while their body grows into the weight class.
Mayweather is playing this perfectly by fighting the corelys and the Brussels of the world before taking on the top boxers. And no Gatti is not a top 140 pound fighter either.
Brussels in there because Mayweather can beat him without being in top physical condition.
Mayweather TKO8, and looks slighly better than his fight against Corely.

If you think he's out of shape then you dont know Floyd. All the experts will tell you that no matter what he does in between fights, when it comes time for training camp he's all buisness. He loves to train and he's always in peak condition. Corley is a good fighter who is a lefty and caught Floyd while he was swinging. Mayweather won every round and dropped Corley twice. Floyd by KO, no later then 7 but I predict 5
