Golata to fight Brewster

Best fight of 2004 It seems like the year is about done as I am not aware of any more major fights until next month. There have been several fights to choose from this year, Marquez-Pacman, Freitas-Corales, Casamayor-Castillo, Hopkins-Dela Hoya, Trinidad-Mayorga, etc. For me, there is a tie for fight of the year between two recent fights, Morales-Barrera 3 and Ebo Elders-Courtny Burton. Morales-Barrera had as much back and forth action as you could ever want as well as more than enough technical boxing to please all the boxing purests out there. Elders-Burton on the other hand was probably as brutal and violent a fight as you'll ever see. On paper the fighters appeared perfectly even and in the ring they proved to be just that. What made this fight truly special was when Ebo Elders who was visibly the smaller fighter, not known for having power, and seemingly landing the lighter shots throughout the fight rallied late in the 12th round after looking almost defeated in the early 12th to KO his opponent at a time when the fight could seamingly go either way.

I guess King is trying to give Golota a consolation prize for him getting fucked in his last two decisions. I say Golota says fuck you to King and sign's with someone else and looks to perhaps fight Vitali for the WBC.

Honestly Golata should probably be the IBF an WBA champ right now.

Golata will win this fight, no doubt about it. Lamon is a bum and even a decent fighter like golata can beat him.

I guess King will keep putting Andy in there for a belt until he gets it right. I read an article that quotes Lamon that this will be his next fight. thoughts? I have a hard time picking Golata in any fight, but he might have a chance here. Where did you hear this rumor?

Yea Golota is finally getting the belt he deserves. That WBO piece of shit that means almost nothing.

I thought he beat Byrd, I thought he beat Ruiz, and he'll sure as hell beat Brewster.

getting screwed by byrd/kind on the scorecards..then that scorecard on the ruiz fight were the score was hella in favor of ruiz when the fight was close...*shrug* i agree the fights were close, but they were there for him to cleary win and he didn't step it up to the next level...like usual. Golata has all the talent in the world, he has always seemed to lack the determination to get to that "next level" I hate Don King!!!
