Is Cotto ready for the elite level yet?

Cotto did have trouble with N'dou who is durable as hell.He looked winded towards the end of the fight. Mitchell maybe could outslick him but he's probably damaged from the Zoo KO. Zoo can stop Cotto cold with those Mack truck straight rights.

Theres only two people who could beat this guy, Ricky and Kosta. Kosta would be just too wise and canny, and i don't think he could handle Rickys pace and aggression. I think he would stop Mitchell no problem, take Harris out by pummelling his body, and would absolutely abuse a brave Gatti. The fight i enthusiastically anticipate the most is Ricky vs Cotto - Battle of the body snatchers although styles could clash and it could be ugly, it is so very intriguing especially if Ricky tries to be cute.

let him challenge sharmba mitchell and then you will really know if he is up to the elite level.........the answer will be no.

Skill wise, I don't think anyone other than Mayweater is at his level today. I hope he does see some big fights in '05. If he does, 2005 could very well be the year of Cotto.

i think cotto should take on shamba mitchell before he moves up to the likes of Tzyu, let Tzyu take on Hatton , then we'll see if he's still got the goods to merit a battle with cotto (although i guess cotto is the less seasoned fighter, Tzyu needs to make up some of that credibility)

Miguel Cotto KO6 Yes, I can see Cotto, with Harris' long torso, ripping him to the body. But the big difference is that Harris will not let Cotto hit him for nothing. He will make him pay for everything.

Chop Chop Corley would be an excellent showcase fight for him. I think Vivian Harris would be the best test for him at 140, as Harris is a rugged, powerful fighter who comes to bring it. hes still only 24, theres no rush. he needs to build up the record a bit more inmy opinion
