Was prime mike tyson faster on his feet than any heavyweight coming forward in history ? .
I love you catskills
Do you have msn?
Guys i've found another classic jewel hidden in the archives of boxingscene
yea.....is he the one who started all the fleetfooted and fleetchined and all that shit?
Yes, he started the trend, but those are some hardcore ass questions
im about up to here with these :bsflag: threads
its comical to me how they keep coming about all over the place
I blame catskills and his followers
ahahahaha
Tyson had incredible speed for someone his size, Dempsey was much slighter of build, so it wouldn't surprise me to know that Dempsey was as fast as Tyson, but Tyson changed boxing with his combination of speed and power, driven by a level of ferocity rarely seen in boxing.
No doubt.....no heavyweight in history moved forward as quickly as did prime-time Tyson.
This was every bit as important to him as was his punching power.
Imagine what it was like for his opponents ?
Having that fire breathing block of granite come in underneath you that quickly, & bringing up those powerhouse combos ?
I think you'd rather have a dude standing in front of you with a .44 magnum !
I have no idea about Jack Dempsey but i do know that Tyson was very quick coming forward on his feet. The thing that made Tyson even more lethal was his ability to get maximum potential out of a punch while coming forward. That takes alot of doing without losing balance or power. He always kept his speed and his power.
